James Comey Gets Help from Unlikely Source Against Trump
How old is former FBI Director James Comey?
I ask because, Comey’s 86-year-old father decided to come to his aid. As if Comey were a teenager in need of moral support.
Taking off 30 years, that puts Comey solidly in his 50s. One would think his dad would let him fight his own fights by now?
My father was a crackhead when he was alive. But even that crackhead knew to stay out of my business, unless asked.
Comey’s father is mad that President Trump recently declared Comey the Younger to be “nuts”. Then Trump fired him.
Both Democrats and Republicans agreed the man needed to be fired albeit for different reasons. And as we wrote of Comey’s firing at the time,
Trump did Obama’s dirty work, and you would think Leftist would be happy. The black president got Trump to do his dirty work!
But Leftists need their chaos. They lead miserable lives and create inconsequential fodder to fill it.
According to the New York Times, President Trump informed Russian officials that his dismissal of FBI Director James Comey relieved “great pressure” on him. They also said that the president referred to Comey as a “nut job.”
What a great description!
Remember how Comey weaseled out of indicting Hillary Clinton? Only a nutjob could convince himself that was the right thing to do.
Comey teased us with condemnation of Clinton. Political foreplay at its best. Conservatives salivated as the man tantalized us. And just when we were ready to get our “happy ending,” Comey took a phone call.
Stupid is as stupid does, Jennie!
Yet, according to The Hill the father of James Comey said it was President Donald Trump who was “nuts.”
“I’m convinced that he’s nuts,” J. Brien Comey, 86, a Republican who formerly served as a borough councilman, told NorthJersey.com.
“I thought he belonged in an institution. He was crazy before he became president. Now he’s really crazy.”
“I never was crazy about Trump,” he added.
Well, you can bet CNN will run with this story: Trump Declared Crazy by “anonymous”.
If you watched Comey during the various congressional hearings, you would think the guy thought he was auditioning for some Hollyweird “reality” show. Talk about over the top gestures, and painstaking dialog. Holy Mother Jim Carrey, the man can overact.
For this reason, Trump has supposedly called Comey a “showboat” and “grandstander”.
But did he really.
The New York Times reported last week about the “nut job” statement. They added that President Trump said Comey put “great pressure” on the administration in its dealings with Russia.
Though the president would be right on both characterizations, do we really know the truth?
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, present at the meeting, refutes the claim Comey’s firing was discussed with Trump. According to Sputnik News , Lavrov commented the day after the New York Times report,
“We did not touch on that topic at all.”
Common sense begs the question, “Why would they?”
For President Trump, Comey was roadkill. No need to bring the man up in any capacity.
Let’s see what comes out of Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, and then the Senate Judiciary Committee who has also called for his testimony.
We know he will grandstand, because that’s what he does. But he won’t have Obama to cover his ass this time.
