OUTRAGEOUS: San Francisco PAYS ILLEGAL $190,000 over Sanctuary Law

Police turned 33-year-old Pedro Figueroa-Zarceno over to immigration authorities.

Now, the city has to pay a whopping $190,000.

illegal sued San Francisco #KevinJacksonThis is incomprehensible.

First we allow them to come here illegally. Then we stand by when they commit serious crimes like rape and murder. And now, they can sue us for following our own federal laws just because some local cities decided to defy them. The liberals who instituted those policies should have to cough up the payout. This is utter insanity.

As Fox News reports:

Pedro Figueroa-Zarceno, reached the settlement agreement with the city attorney’s office, said Saira Hussain, a staff attorney at the Asian Law Caucus who represented Zarceno. The agreement must be approved by the Board of Supervisors.

“It’s really important for San Francisco to remain a sanctuary city not in name only but also in practice,” Hussain told The San Francisco Examiner. “Our hope is that the department is going to look into this further and really examine the way that the department can do more.”

Figueroa-Zarceno sued San Francisco in January for violating its sanctuary city law.

The construction worker said he went to police in December 2015 after getting a call from authorities that his stolen car had been found. Instead of helping him, he said, officers detained him and called immigration authorities.

He was taken into custody by federal authorities outside the police station and was in jail for two months. He has been fighting his deportation since his release.

“What happened to me was very unfair and it was an injustice,” Figueroa-Zerceno said. “I went into the police station to seek help and they didn’t tell me what was happening and they arrested me and treated me badly.”

Law vs. Law

City law prohibits law enforcement officers from cooperating with federal immigration officials except when violent criminals are involved. However, this seems to be a perfect example of a local ordinance violating federal law.

The lawsuit claims unlawful arrest, as police tipped ICE off to a ten-year-old deportation warrant. Of course, a warrant is a lawful reason to make an arrest. Moreover, an illegal alien doesn’t hold constitutional rights.

In short, this guy was set to be deported years ago, but he managed to hide under a rock until his car was stolen. And now, we’re supposed to feel sorry for him? Worse, taxpayers are expected to hand him $190,000.

What Obama Left Behind

Week after week we report rapes, murders, and other heinous crimes pulled off by illegal immigrants.

Recall Tommy Alvarado-Ventura. He beat and sexually assaulted a two-year-old girl after stabbing her mother. Ventura was part of Obama’s “catch and release” program. He should have been deported multiple times. Instead, Ventura was freed on our streets.

Obama freed another illegal who murdered his 15-year-old teenage step-daughter and her unborn child.

Liberals sweep this crime under the rug as if it’s not a problem. They go on with their pansy policies, such as sanctuary cities, which only make things worse.

Luckily, we finally have the anecdote to Obama, and he’s trying hard to combat illegal crimes. In fact, under the Trump administration, there is a crackdown aimed at sanctuary cities.

As Fox News continues:

San Francisco’s sanctuary law was thrust into the national debate on immigration after the July 2015 slaying of 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle.

The man charged with murder in Steinle’s slaying, Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, had been released by San Francisco sheriff’s officials months earlier despite a request by immigration officials to keep him behind bars.

House Republicans took action Thursday to crack down on illegal immigrants and the cities that shelter them.

One bill passed by the House would deny federal grants to sanctuary cities. Another, Kate’s Law, would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States.

Sanctuary cities will soon be squashed just like the Russian narrative.

They will fall under the weight of public opinion and their own consequences. Even idiots in San Francisco will not pay too many illegals for loopholes in a moronic law.
