Trump TAUNTS Leftists: Hangs Controversial 30-Year-Old Letter

Donald Trump is a master showman.

The move Trump made on Jan. 20 showcased his mastery.

The Left have been comparing the Russia issue with Watergate. They wrongly believe that Russia will cause President Trump’s impeachment.

This is why what Trump did is so spectacular.

According to Politico, friends of Trump hung a letter from former President Richard Nixon from almost three decades ago in the Oval Office.

In the letter, President Nixon told Trump that he could win any office for which he ran.

According to U.S. News and World Report the letter was sent to the billionaire mogul after First Lady Pat Nixon saw Trump on an episode of Phil Donahue’s talk show back in 1987.

“Dear Donald,” the letter read. “I did not see the program, but Mrs. Nixon told me that you were great on the Donahue Show. As you can imagine, she is an expert on politics and she predicts that whenever you decide to run for office you will be a winner!”

As we all know, Donald Trump has flirted with politics for decades. His eventual entry into the 2016 election surprised everybody, as few people took him seriously.

Pat Nixon certainly saw something in Trump early on.

Trump told Fox News that the former president “always wanted me to run for office.”

Trump added that Nixon remained close with his family. Nixon’s grandson, Christopher Nixon Cox, reportedly dined with the president-elect for Thanksgiving and had been considered for the ambassadorship to China.

Interestingly, the fact that Trump doesn’t throw Nixon under the bus is very unpoliticianlike. Even today, Nixon remains a political pariah. But not to Trump.

As we look back on Nixon’s mistakes, they pale in comparison to the politics of today. Watergate was laughable when you look at the scandals in the Obama administration. Bugging Democrats’ offices versus getting four Americans killed in Benghazi?

Nah, we can do better.

What about bugging Democrats’ offices versus leaving veterans on waiting lists to die?

Nope? More, huh.

What about bugging Democrats’ offices versus running guns into Mexico, guns used to kill Mexican and American citizens?

President Trump may be giving President Nixon historical props by hanging the letter. It’s certainly a far cry from what Obama did in the Oval Office.

Recall that Obama removed a bust of Winston Churchill to replace it with one of Martin Luther King Jr. I guess the office didn’t have room for both?
