BS Alert: Al Sharpton Donates to Family of Slain Cop [VIDEO]
Al Sharpton owes American taxpayers millions of dollars, yet he makes a “token” gesture donation to the Familia family.
I don’t recall Sharpton paying his $4 million tax debt back. However, according to The NY Daily News, he’s donating money to others?
The Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network contributed $5,000 Saturday to assist the three children of assassinated NYPD Officer Miosotis Familia.
“Just like we stand with the victims of police brutality, we must stand with the police and their families when they are wrongly murdered,” Sharpton announced at his Harlem headquarters.
The donation from NAN boosted the total collected so far by a Daily News fund-raising effort to $88,470. The fund remains open for additional gifts.
Sharpton noted that Familia, 48, left behind a 20-year-old daughter and twin 12-year-olds — a boy and a girl. The oldest child is in college.
Frankly, I’d like to see the families of fallen law enforcement officers sue Sharpton.
The man pretends to care about cops. But this is the first time I’ve seen him make any gesture towards slain cops.
Remember when Sharpton condoned “offing the pigs?”
Tha’st certainly something Sharpton would like America to forget.
Further, where was Sharpton when two NYC police officers were ambushed and killed by a man who had earlier shot and killed his girlfriend? As USA Today reported it,
In a somber news conference Saturday evening, New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton said the two officers were deliberately targeted. He also acknowledged the danger officers face as part of the “thin blue line between us and anarchy.”
“They were, quite simply, assassinated, targeted for their uniform and the responsibility they embraced,” Bratton said. “Both were ambushed and murdered.”
Bratton said the attacker approached the officers’ vehicle from the passenger side and opened fire, shooting his weapon several times. The officers, Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, “never had an opportunity to draw their weapons” and were “killed with no warning, no provocation,” he said.
No Sharpton to be found.
Nor did Sharpton comment on the black-on-black crime committed by the cop killer.
But in the death of Familia, Sharpton finally speaks out?
“Those children are robbed because their mother went and defended … the people of the Bronx,” said Sharpton. “(She) lost her life because she did what we asked her to do, be a good cop and put on a uniform and do the right thing.
“And even though we protest police, we feel their pain and we stand by them.”
What a difference a president makes.
You know that under Obama, Sharpton would have said absolutely nothing. However, under President Trump, Sharpton must alter his message.
I’m not buying it.
