Maddow Scooped: This Time by Donald Trump the Younger

You can bet Rachel Maddow had prepped her show.

After all, the New York Times had the goods on Donald Trump Jr.

He was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, meeting with Russians.

So what there is no law against meeting with Russians, that’s not the point. He had met under the guise of getting dirt on Hillary Clinton, or so they say.

Funny how the media wants to hold Donald Trump Jr. to a standard the Left would never try to meet. How far did those morons go back in Trump’s history in an attempt to marginalize him?

Regardless, Donald Trump Jr. scooped Maddow and all the other leftists in the media industrial complex. According to the Powerline blog, Donald Trump Jr. released the emails on how the meeting got set, complete with boring details.

Earlier this morning, Donald Trump, Jr. released the email threads relating to his meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya in June 2016. The emails support his account of the meeting.

A few points are worth noting. First, the emails support Trump Jr.’s statement that he attended the meeting because he had been told that the Russian with whom he would meet had negative information about Hillary Clinton. The email from Rob Goldstone, who drove the whole process, says that “the Crown prosecutor of Russia met with [Emin’s] father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia….”

This would obviously have been of great interest to the Trump campaign, and Trump, Jr. would have been foolish not to schedule the meeting. In one of the emails he says, “if it’s what you say I love it,” an entirely appropriate response that also showed an appropriate degree of skepticism. Trump may have assumed that the incriminating information would relate to the uranium transactions that are described in Clinton Cash, but there is no elaboration in the emails.

As for me, this is a statement of the obvious. The media lied yet again.

Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian who pretended to have information that anybody would have wanted under the circumstances. Clearly, these people just wanted to meet with Trump Jr. likely to say they did.

But now that Donald Trump Jr. has released the emails, let’s see how the media handles it. Will they back down? I have a prediction.

No. I chuckle at the idea that they won’t back away from this ruse, but they won’t. The media are so invested in this lie, they now must fabricate tales from anything.

It’s important we let them finish. The media and Democrats are determined to commit suicide, so how can we possibly stop them?

If you hide the gun, they will cut their wrists. If we hide the knives, they will find the poisons under the sink. In short, they are going to do it, so we just let them.
