IJR Reports:

Most recently, Peter King (R-N.Y.) said that he feels “it’s important for the president to fire Steve Bannon”

Bannon, for his part, has been on an impromptu media tour over the last few days in which he has been making some divisive statements.

In a recent interview with American Prospect, Bannon claimed that “if the left is focused on race and identity, and we go with economic nationalism, we can crush the Democrats.”

Speaking with The Washington Post on Wednesday, Bannon similarly said that “leftist elites do not value history.”

While no official announcement has come from the White House regarding Bannon’s removal from his position, Drudge and Bannon are known to have a close relationship.

Daily Beast Reports:

President Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon is out at the White House, multiple outlets reported Friday. The controversial aide, who previously ran right-wing website Breitbart and Trump’s campaign, reportedly submitted his resignation on August 7, The New York Times reported, but his exit was delayed by violent protests in Charlottesville. Conservative news aggregator Drudge Report noted that the “populist hero may return” to the alt-right-friendly news outlet he previously led.
