Leftist Florida Professor: Self-Inflicted CASUALTY of Hurricane Harvey

The University of Tampa took a stand against a faculty member who politicized tragedy.

As Sandra Bullock recently stated, “there are no politics in eight feet of water. There are human beings in eight feet of water.”

Hurricane Harvey; #KevinJacksonUnfortunately, not everyone shares Bullock’s insight. A Florida Professor thought it was better to call Harvey a form of karma sent to punish Trump voters. Now Ken Storey is facing a bit of karma himself- in the unemployment line.

Surprisingly (not!), Storey is a sociology professor. Thus, he is supposed to be an expert in behavior and social interaction. Apparently, such knowledge of human interaction failed to give Storey a working set of manners.

As Fox News reports:

University spokesman Eric Cardenas said in a statement that Kenneth Storey was fired after the school weathered an outpouring of online outrage over the comments.

“We condemn the comments and the sentiment behind them, and understand the pain this irresponsible act has caused,” the school said in a statement to The University of Tampa community. “As Floridians, we are well aware of the destruction and suffering associated with tropical weather. Our thoughts and prayers are with all impacted by Hurricane Harvey.”

Storey tweeted Sunday: “I don’t believe in instant Karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas,” according to Campus Reform. “Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them.”

Responding to a commenter who pushed back on the tweet, Storey reportedly wrote: “Well, the good people there need to do more to stop the evil their state pushes. I’m only blaming those who support the GOP there.”

The commenter asked Storey if Trump supporters in Florida deserved a similar fate.

“Yep, those who voted for him here deserve it as well.”

Another Fake Apology

Storey’s Tweets went viral, and he realized he was in hot water. Therefore, he did what every liberal does. He issued a fake apology, claiming he meant no harm.

We recently witnessed this same tactic when Missouri Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal tweeted that she’d like to see Trump assassinated. At first, the Senator stood by her comments and felt deleting the post was enough action on her part. When things didn’t go as planned, she halfheartedly apologized.

As we wrote at the time:

Chappelle-Napal isn’t the first leftist to toss around a few threats towards President Trump. Recall Kathy Griffin and her “comical” beheading of Trump? It seems to have flushed her career right down the toilet. In fact, she lost her only sponsor- Squatty Potty.

Griffin’s apologies did little to save her. Thus, Senator Chappelle-Napal might start considering her options. If she doesn’t face criminal charges, the Trump Factor will surely flush her career as fast as Kathy Griffin’s swirled down the drain.

Storey lamented,

“I deeply regret a statement I posted yesterday…never meant to wish ill will upon any group. I hope all affected by Harvey recover quickly.”

However, it looks like his career is headed down the the same drain Griffin ended up in. Unfortunately for Storey, FEMA won’t be able to offer him assistance for this natural disaster of Leftism.
