ALERT: Does SMOKING GUN on Paul Manafort implicate Trump?

ALERT: Does SMOKING GUN on Paul Manafort implicate Trump?

Are you ready for the Manafort update? Hold on to your britches.

When we last left off, this boondoggle pitted Mueller against Manafort, as the special prosecutor investigates 2006 allegations of Manafort’s dealing with Russia, by way of Ukraine. Hard to believe a businessman would do such a thing. After all, according to the Left doing business with Russia is taboo, unless you are crooked twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

In our latest development, we get an update from the Manafort emails.

Apparently, during Donald Trump’s presidential run, then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort wrote in an email that he was willing to provide “private briefings” about the campaign to a Russian billionaire. And that billionaire is said to have close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, or so the U.S. government claims.

I believe the government in this case. Billionaires tend to have access to world leaders. How many billionaires do you think contacted Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama during their campaigns?

But wait. Were they…RUSSIANS!?

According to the email to a former employee of his political consulting firm in July 2016, Manafort made the overture. That’s right, Paul Manafort asked for a meeting with a Russian billionaire. Was he plotting the overthrow of Hillary Clinton, should she get elected?

I don’t think so. But what he was doing was attempting to meet with a potential contact who might be able to help in the campaign. I repeat, this is the same thing Clinton did, and Obama had done previously.

The Ruskie in question is Oleg Deripaska, a metal magnate who focus is in the aluminum business. Not exactly a sinister business. Aluminum, for goodness sake.

Manafort has been completely open about his emails, even telling the DOJ to release all of them. To that end, Manafort spokesman Jason Maloni confirmed that the email exchanges were legitimate but said no briefings ever occurred.

According to Newsmax,

The July 7, 2016, email came a little over a week before the Republican National Convention, while Manafort was leading the Trump campaign’s day-to-day operations. It also occurred about a month after Manafort attended a meeting with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower. That meeting was brokered by Donald Trump Jr., who was told in emails that the meeting was part of a Russian government effort to help his father’s campaign.

Nice attempt by Newsmax to “connect the dots” that lead to nowhere.

Both Trump Jr and Manafort have offered all so-called evidence in the matter, unlike crooked Hillary Clinton. Clinton, by the way continues to hide in plain sight, as her dealings with the Russians need no research.

And although Manafort has turned over thousands of pages of materials, there is nothing to implicate him in anything other than “business as usual”, and nothing that would allow the DOJ to target now President Trump.

And if there isn’t enough irony, Mueller continues to probe Manafort’s taxes and his foreign banking as part of an investigation related to his consulting work in Ukraine. This, despite having no connection to the Trump campaign or pay-to-play, something the Clintons have been guilty of for decades.
