Thanks for saying the obvious, Mr. Clapper.
Why is the truth so difficult for Leftists? Likely because as the saying goes, “The truth hurts.”
Trump is a big boy. He can take being cheated; knowing the deck is stacked against him. As the election of 2016 proved, Trump will prevail. But what President Trump doesn’t appreciate is when you lie about the game.
When Trump was strictly a businessman, he knew he needed to grease a few politicians’ palms. That’s business as usual in his old business. Then, billionaire builder Trump knew there were crooked union bosses to deal with, as well as crooked financiers. He learned how to fight on the inside.
You can bet that candidate Trump thought he knew how things worked, then he entered politics for real. He found out that politics is the most brutal game on the planet. To say the rules change is to be naive enough to believe politicians have rules. Politicians have no rules, no scruples, and no heart. They take no prisoners.
Candidate Trump was shocked at the level Obama and his administration would go to stop him. And one need not go to Russia to look for those who attempted to influence the U.S. election, as one need only look at Obama.
Even former director of National Intelligence, James Clapper admitted as much during his interview on CNN with respect to Manafort.
Begin around the 2:23 mark.
Clapper confirmed in answer to a question from host Don Lemon, that it’s “possible” President Donald Trump could’ve been captured on audio during the federal wiretapping of Manafort.
“It’s certainly conceivable,” Clapper said on CNN.
“I wouldn’t want to go there, but I will say it’s possible,” Clapper said.
In clandestine agency lingo, “possible” and “conceivable” means it happened.
In previous sessions before Congress, Tapper was even more careful in his language, saying things like, “To my knowledge,” and “not that I was made aware of.” That last comment always tickles me, as it implies he knew already, ergo he didn’t need to be made aware of it.
The Left wonder why President Trump wants to drain the swamp. Imagine not being a billionaire with the cache of Trump and trying to play Obama’s game. Not a single GOP candidate could have withstood that juggernaut.
When the government begins spying on billionaires, you know it has grown too large.
