More About the Office That COVERS UP Sexual Misconduct of Politicians
The more I learn about our government, the more I detest the swamp rats who now occupy positions within it.
These people cherry-pick the American taxpayers. Congressmen and other politicians pass laws from which they exempt themselves. Obamacare is a good example.
While Leftists like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi fight to inflict Obamacare on the rest of the nation, they don’t participate in it. Anybody think these ass-clowns will sit in a hospital waiting room for hours, watching illegals get treated for free? No, politicians leave real life for us Sodomites.
Next, DC politicians pass other laws that give them favor. For example, Congressmen can’t be charged with insider trading on Wall Street. These people get insider information daily, then pass those tips on to their
friends donors. So everybody makes money, except the many millions of poor shleps who get up every day to hustle for another dollar the legit way.

I’d love for Pelosi to explain how her wealth ballooned from $12 million in 2008 to over $37 million in 2010. This was one of the worst economic periods in American history. Think this dramatic increase in wealth happened because of Pelosi’s shrewd investment of her less than $200,000 per year salary?
And what of Hillary Clinton and her family’s crooked foundation. Any oversight there?
These criminals immunize themselves from everything.
And now we learn they protect themselves from being held accountable for sexual harassment. As HuffPo reports,
…the CAA created the “Office of Compliance” to deal with such issues. Complainants begin the dispute resolution process with a mandatory (yes, really) course of counseling that can last up to 30 days. Only after completing the compulsory counseling may a complainant pursue mediation. That, too, can last up to 30 days. If mediation fails to resolve the issue to the complainant’s satisfaction, she or he can then go to an administrative hearing, or file a federal lawsuit.
Here’s the kicker: If the dispute is resolved in favor of the complainant (read: victim), funds for the settlement don’t come out of the offender’s personal bank account, or his or her campaign account. Instead, they come out of a secret account maintained by the Office of Compliance. It is so secret, in fact, that taxpayers don’t even know they are funding it.
That’s right, Congress can sexually harass, rape or otherwise brutalize people, and the American taxpayers fund their behavior. Worse yet, we don’t even get to see what we paid for.
Holy cow! This reminds me of politics! The American taxpayer has been getting screwed over for decades, while politicians point the fingers across the aisle. Notice nobody is actually held accountable. And in the case of sexual harassment payoff, the same holds true.
But there is more to consider.
The Federal Government sets up an Office of Compliance to give America comfort that they recognize the problem. So I have a few questions.
Did you vote on who runs this office?
I certainly don’t recall any election or referendum on this. It appears that Congress decided to police itself. Sounds good on paper, doesn’t it.
So who leads this Office of Compliance? Robert Mueller or an equivalent?
Did I miss the contest for the most trustworthy non-partisan people? Because I would want people above reproach to be part of this. Anything less is a disservice to America.
We all know the truth. This new Office of Compliance represents more bureaucracy. Politicians laced this organization with career politicians, all looking to curry favor with those in power.
The Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (CAA) protects over 30,000 employees of the Legislative Branch nationwide and established the Office of Compliance (OOC or Office). Congress created the OOC to administer and ensure the integrity of the Act through its programs of dispute resolution, education, and enforcement. The OOC claims to assist members of Congress, employing offices and employees, and the visiting public in understanding their rights and responsibilities under workplace and accessibility laws.
Next we are told the OOC advises Congress on needed changes and amendments to the CAA; and the OOC’s General Counsel has independent investigatory and enforcement authority for certain violations of the CAA. You buying this?
The structure of the OOC
According to the government website on the OOC, the office has a five-member, non-partisan Board of Directors. They have a four-person executive staff, appointed by the Board, and this staff supposedly carries out the day-to-day functions of the Agency. The Office also employs professional staff on Capitol Hill who educate, communicate, inspect, litigate, and otherwise run its operations.
I decided to research the Executive Director of the OOC, Susan Tsui Grundmann. This is from the official website.
Previously, Ms. Grundmann served as the Chairman of the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board, enforcing Federal merit systems in the executive branch. She was confirmed to that position by the U.S. Senate in 2009. Ms. Grundmann has more than twenty years of professional experience in litigation and in advising and educating clients in labor and employment matters. She began her legal career as a law clerk to the judges of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit of Virginia. She earned her bachelor’s degree at American University and her law degree at Georgetown University Law Center.
Sounds like Grundmann might be a fair and impartial leader, her collegiate resume notwithstanding. However, there is more to the story.
The MSPB under Grundmann had many problems. As most people know, to fire a government worker is practically impossible. Further, when someone actually tries, the MSPB can force an agency to rehire the worker, in many cases with back pay. This happens often no matter how egregious the worker’s behavior had been.
But perhaps the biggest insight as to who Grundmann is comes from who appointed her. Barack Obama nominated her in July of 2009 and she was approved by the Senate that November.
And you wonder why taxpayers fund this, and we have no names of the politicians who committed the crimes?
I guarantee you this office has nothing more than big political bundlers from both parties. And this Office has but one function: protect Congress.
Sure, occasionally they will sacrifice somebody at the altar to pretend to have a public service function. But you can bet some shot-caller tells this Office whom the sacrificial lamb will be and when.
