The “not guilty” verdict of the man who actually killed this woman proves it.
Only in some Leftist enclave like California can a citizen shot and killed by an illegal not get justice.
As CNN reported,
A jury on Thursday found Jose Ines Garcia Zarate not guilty of homicide charges in the July 2015 death of Kate Steinle in San Francisco.
He was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Garcia Zarate, a Mexican citizen and undocumented immigrant, had been deported from the United States five times prior to Steinle’s death.
Garcia Zarate, 45, faced a charge of second-degree murder, but jurors were also allowed to consider first-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter convictions.
Garcia Zarate was accused of fatally shooting Steinle, 32, with a Sig Sauer .40-caliber handgun as she and her father walked on San Francisco’s Pier 14.
What an outrage.
But remember San Francisco also pays its illegals, as we reported not long ago.
Police turned 33-year-old Pedro Figueroa-Zarceno over to immigration authorities.
Now, the city has to pay a whopping $190,000.
This is incomprehensible.
First we allow them to come here illegally. Then we stand by when they commit serious crimes like rape and murder. And now, they can sue us for following our own federal laws just because some local cities decided to defy them. The liberals who instituted those policies should have to cough up the payout. This is utter insanity.
As Fox News reports:
Pedro Figueroa-Zarceno, reached the settlement agreement with the city attorney’s office, said Saira Hussain, a staff attorney at the Asian Law Caucus who represented Zarceno. The agreement must be approved by the Board of Supervisors.
“It’s really important for San Francisco to remain a sanctuary city not in name only but also in practice,” Hussain told The San Francisco Examiner. “Our hope is that the department is going to look into this further and really examine the way that the department can do more.”
Figueroa-Zarceno sued San Francisco in January for violating its sanctuary city law.
The construction worker said he went to police in December 2015 after getting a call from authorities that his stolen car had been found. Instead of helping him, he said, officers detained him and called immigration authorities.
He was taken into custody by federal authorities outside the police station and was in jail for two months. He has been fighting his deportation since his release.
“What happened to me was very unfair and it was an injustice,” Figueroa-Zerceno said. “I went into the police station to seek help and they didn’t tell me what was happening and they arrested me and treated me badly.”
Let’s hope the family wins their lawsuit, though I doubt it.

The Steinle Family is suing San Francisco, and I hope the Steinle’s cripple the city financially. According to the New York Daily News,
Kate Steinle’s parents filed the wrongful death lawsuit Friday, ahead of the one-year anniversary of her July 1 shooting death.
Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez — who was living in the U.S. illegally after serving jail time for a marijuana sales charge — picked up a Bureau of Land Management ranger’s gun and fired it, killing Steinle, 32.
Steinle’s heartbroken parents said a lack of communication between the city Sheriff’s Department and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement contributed to their beloved daughter’s death.
The parents of a woman killed on a busy San Francisco pier last year have sued city and immigration officials, blaming them for the summer shooting because the gunman was in the country illegally.
I hope every citizen (and non-citizen) of that sanctuary ballsack of a city pays so much that it feels like a Chihuahua pooping a peach pit.
