BREAKING: Omarosa Maginault Newman Gone from Trump Administration

How will the media handle this new development?

Trump renews segregation in White House: Fires Omarosa! Or how about this one: Trump decides to publicly not care about black people, fires Omarosa.

I’m not sure what happened with Omarosa Maginault Newman, but she’s apparently gone from the Trump team.

As Fox News reported

Apprentice” star turned White House official Omarosa Manigault Newman will leave the Trump administration next month, according to the White House.

“Omarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement. “Her departure will not be effective until January 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service.”

Omarosa joined the administration as director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison.

She reportedly has drawn scrutiny from White House Chief of Staff John Kelly for her work in the office designed to garner outside support for the president’s agenda.

The former “Apprentice” contestant recently drew press attention after she brought her 39-person bridal party inside the White House this past spring for an “extended” photo shoot in the Rose Garden. It is unclear whether she had permission. She was reportedly banned from posting any  of the photos online by White House officials citing security and ethical concerns.

Friends of mine said of Newman, she’s difficult to work with.

I will say that many blacks who helped during the campaign felt slighted by Newman. She essentially used them for their expertise, but then abandoned them when the time came for “Trumparations”.

As for her effectiveness at the White House, I can’t see it. I don’t see President Trump’s relationship with the black community changing. And that was Newman’s main job.

Why is nobody charting the progress of blacks in all sectors and making sure the word gets out? I realize that many black Conservatives suffer from “crab syndrome”, and likely were difficult to work with themselves. But Trump expects results no matter what. And Conservatives deserve a plan that works, not more of the same.

Word at the White House is Newman reported to nobody other than the president. I suspect Newman’s personality mimics closely how she acted on The Apprentice. I met her once, in Cleveland at an event during the Republican Convention. In what was a rare free moment, I tried to sidebar with her on something I felt could help her and then candidate-Trump with black voters. She politely rebuffed me.

I felt that she was intimidated by ideas from others. I knew then not to approach her again.

Hey, the Trump people know who I am, so I would wait. And wait I have.

Look, I’m no big deal. But I know my team has great ideas for outreach. Yet I and many others have not been contacted. If others are like me, we don’t take it personally. But it is frustrating to see things continue as they have.

As for Newman, you can bet that Newman will land on her feet. I see a book, the talk show circuit, then massive speaking fees. She certainly milked her role as The Apprentice villain into a grand lifestyle. And I’m not mad at her.
