Democrat Conundrum: Trump Gets Tough with Putin?
For over a year the Left has spun the narrative that Trump is nothing more then a puppet for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
They have also claimed that Trump colluded with Putin to win the election.
But now things begin to unravel for the hapless Democrats.
First, Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation now centers on him and almost his entire team of Hillary Clinton-loving, anti-Trumpers. After more then a year investigating Trump, they find themselves under scrutiny. And I predict some of them will end up in prison.
Second, in President Trump’s recent National Security speech, he sent a stark message to Russia and all other foreign leaders.

From Fox News:
“China and Russia challenge American power, influence, and interests, attempting to erode American security and prosperity,” the president’s new “America First” strategy asserts.
“They are determined to make economies less free and less fair, to grow their militaries, and to control information and data to repress their societies and expand their influence.”
“China and Russia want to shape a world antithetical to U.S. values and interests,” the president’s national security strategy stresses. “China seeks to displace the United States in the Indo-Pacific region, expand the reaches of its state-driven economic model, and reorder the region in its favor.”
Not exactly the language of a puppet.
Russia responded to Trump’s speech and they didn’t seem to happy with what they heard.
“A quick read of the parts of the strategy that mention our country one way or another… (shows) an imperialist character,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday, Reuters reported Tuesday.
Peskov also criticized the policy for being willfully U.S.-centric as it exhibits “an unwillingness to give up the idea of a unipolar world, moreover, an insistent unwillingness, disregard for a multipolar world.”
“We can not agree with an attitude that sees our country as a threat to the United States,”
Peskov added: “At the same time, there are some modestly positive aspects, in particular, the readiness to cooperate in areas that correspond to American interests.”
So President Trump puts “America First”, and the Russians don’t like it.
Donald Trump ran on Make America Great Again (MAGA). Then he spun off “America First”. Another campaign promise kept.
So now the Democrats have a conundrum. Russian collusion? Puppet of Putin? Tough spin, now that President Trump’s foreign policy is on full display.
Moreover, Trump got tough on Russia and Putin over dealings with North Korea. In a Tweet from the president, he warned that negotiations would no longer work.
“The Kremlin on Monday called for restraint on North Korea after U.S. President Donald Trump warned over the weekend that “only one thing will work” in dealing with Pyongyang, hinting that military action was on his mind.
When asked what Russia made of Trump’s comments, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a conference call with reporters:
“Moscow has called and continues to call on the parties involved in the conflict and on those who have anything to do with this issue to exercise restraint and to avoid any steps that would only worsen the situation.”
After years of North Korea blustering, President Trump has made it clear that America has its limits.
Further, President Trump expects the world to play their part in reining in this rogue regime. Because if they won’t, he will.
This tough response by President Trump doesn’t reflect a weak-minded leader ready to bow down at anything Russia may ask or demand of the United States.
Contrast Trump’s actions with those of the Obama administration. They allowed the Russians to control 20 percent of America’s uranium, without firing a shot. This Uranium One deal was pure payola to the Clintons for their support in getting him elected.
And it’s the election of Trump that forced the press to discuss the story of the deal. Had Clinton gotten elected, America would be none the wiser about this deal that involved the now defunct Podesta Group, and even people within the state department.
There is more evidence that exists linking Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to the Russians than Trump to Trump properties.
The Left charted their destructive course. From the Podesta Group, The Clinton Foundation, Obama’s “hot mic” moment with Medveyev, and many other Russia connections, the press persists that Trump is the story.
After all the plotting, scheming, and lying the left has tried to convince us Trump colluded with Russia, they have nothing. And like Trump does with all allegations against him, he fights. And he wins.
