INCREDIBLE: What Democrats DEMAND ICE Stop Doing
You would think after the outrage Americans felt over the recent Kate Steinle verdict Democrats would scurry down their rat holes. After all, their sanctuary cities and protection of criminal illegal aliens are responsible for killing an innocent American woman.
Still, Democrats refuse to learn their lesson and went ahead and released more criminals into the streets of New York.
According to Breitbart:
“ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers began the operation on November 13 and concluded it shortly before Thanksgiving.
In total, officers arrested 55 illegal aliens. Forty-two of those arrested had been in New York law enforcement custody and were released despite ICE having placed immigration detainers on the aliens, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from ICE officials.”
Besides DWI and aggravated DWI, the criminal histories also include convictions for assault in the second degree and criminal trespass in the second degree. These foreign nationals are from Brazil, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and the Ukraine.
The field officer director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Removal Operations (ERO) in New York, Thomas R. Decker said, “This operation targeted those who were convicted of driving under the influence, some with children in the car, solidifying ICE’s commitment to remove public safety threats from our communities.”
It is not surprising to learn that these criminals were released back into the street because sadly this has become a normal practice.
But what is surprising is that illegals would be released right after the nation’s outrage over sanctuary cities protecting the man that murdered Kate Steinle.
The illegal that killed Steinle was looking at his sixth deportation after 46 months in prison for a felony of re-entry into the United States. He had a warrant out for his arrest on marijuana charges.
For years this man has been coming and going in and out of our country as he pleases. He committed crimes and put Americans in harm’s way. Then on one fateful day, he picked up a stolen gun causing Kate’s death. What’s worse is he got away with it.
The left will try and sell you the lie that the crime sanctuary cities bring to America is almost non-existent and that Kate’s death was just a horrible accident.
But consider The Daily Wire report on the following from Louisiana attorney general Jeff Landry:
Landry told the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security, that sanctuary city policies “allow illegals to commit crimes, then roam free in our communities.” Landry’s appearance was prompted by the changed status of New Orleans, where city police are now banned from asking an individual’s immigration status.
Using recent statistics from Los Angeles, another sanctuary city, Landry asserted, “Los Angeles saw all crime rise in 2015: violent crime up 19.9 percent, homicides up 10.2 percent, shooting victims up 12.6 percent, rapes up 8.6 percent, robberies up 12.3 percent, and aggravated assault up 27.5 percent … (sanctuary cities) encourage further illegal immigration and promote an underground economy that sabotages the tax base.”
And to top it all off in some sanctuary cities illegal aliens can actually sue the city that tries to enforce their own immigration policies.
The lawlessness these Leftist policies promote should send a strong message to American citizens on how weak the Democrats are on crime and where their loyalties truly lie.
And don’t expect them to change, since President Trump is in office. Many Democrats share the same view on immigration as Conservatives. There is only one way to protect the citizens of our country and that’s to follow our laws.
Regardless of the death of Kate Steinly, the Democrats want to convince Americans they are the right choice. Remember that new slogan?
