BREAKING: Media Outlet Newsweek Raided by FBI
Newsweek got raided by the FBI. And not because they hire illegals.
I’m sure the media will claim it’s because Trump is a fascist dictator. But my guess is the raid is more likely tied to Hillary Clinton or other Democrats.
According to the New York Post,
About two dozen investigators from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office raided the offices of Newsweek and its parent company, IBT Media, on Thursday.
IBT Media was co-founded by Jonathan Davis and Etienne Uzac. The IRS placed a $1.2 million federal tax lien against Uzac in December 2017.
The agents were said to be photographing servers in the offices, but not downloading any files at the offices at 7 Hanover Square, according to sources.
They appeared to be photographing the serial numbers on the machines, said a source.
I tried to determine if Newsweek was neutral, anti-Trump, or pro-Clinton. So I Googled “Newsweek Trump” and “Newsweek Hillary Clinton”. The results were predictable.
Googling Newsweek Trump produced quite a few negative articles. Take this one for example, where Newsweek implies that Trump stole his campaign funds:
Almost one year after President Donald Trump took the oath of office, millions of dollars from his leftover inauguration funds have still not been donated to the charities they were promised to.
Trump’s inauguration committee raised a record-breaking $107 million as his administration prepared to assume the White House last year, but very little has been disclosed about where the remaining money was allocated. Nearing the one-year anniversary of Trump’s inauguration, a government watchdog group is questioning why the funds disappeared, and a congressman is proposing legislation to keep future administrations from obscuring their own inaugural donations.
And this was the most recent article, where Newsweek implies that Dr. Sebastian Gorka is an international criminal:
Former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka has a warrant out for his arrest in Hungary, according to the Hungarian police’s website.
The warrant was issued in September 2016, shortly before President Donald Trump’s election to office, and is over “firearm or ammunition abuse.” That means the former Breitbart News editor and Trump deputy assistant had an active warrant out for his arrest while serving in the White House. No other details are given about the specific incident that led to the warrant, but Hungarian media later reported that the incident may have been from several years ago.
Gorka told Newsweek that the “report” about the incident is “fallacious,” and he is contacting the Hungarian [sic] authorites for clarification.
Googling Newsweek Hillary Clinton yielded this article,
Nearly a year after President Donald Trump’s inauguration, a Harvard University professor says 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton could still become commander in chief.
Lawrence Lessig, the Roy L. Furman professor of law and leadership at Harvard Law School, penned an essay for Medium in October outlining a series of hypothetical scenarios that could take place should the ongoing probe find that the Trump campaign actually conspired with Russia to influence the results of the election.
And other outlets picked up the article.
It was very difficult to find anything on Newsweek that wasn’t Hillary Clinton spin. I didn’t find a connection, except the fact that Newsweek takes almost every opportunity to bash Trump.
Perhaps that’s what they see as fair?
