No More Plexiglas To Protect Shops in Black Neighborhoods

Would you work in a Democrat-controlled black neighborhood without the protection of bullet-proof glass?

I damn sure wouldn’t. But don’t think safety matters to the black woman who calls the glass “humiliating”.

As Fox News updates,

The push to remove bulletproof barriers inside Philly convenient stores just got past another hurdle.

The Public Health and Human Services Committee has passed a bill which enables the city’s Licenses and Inspections department to regulate the bullet-resistant barricade that stands between customers and cash registers in many neighborhood corner stores.

The bill moving through city council reads: “No establishment shall erect or maintain a physical barrier.”

Apparently what’s not humiliating to this race-baiter is the amount of crime in black neighborhoods that necessitates the need for Plexiglas.

Anybody think this woman would be responsible for the mayhem and death that will undoubtedly occur in these stores?

The article continues,

It’s called the ‘Stop and Go’ bill and is being offered by City Councilwoman Cindy Bass.

“Right now, the Plexiglas has to come down,” she said.

She says she wants to put some controls on these small stores that, from her point of view, sell booze, very little food and are a source of trouble for her district.

“We want to make sure that there isn’t this sort of indignity, in my opinion, to serving food through a Plexiglas only in certain neighborhoods,” Councilwoman Bass said.

Broad Deli owner Rich Kim resents the charge stores like his attract loiters and argues that calls to police are often met with a slow response.

“The most important thing is safety and the public’s safety,” Kim told FOX 29.

Bass should admit that she’s mad at the non-blacks who dare have businesses in black neighborhoods.

Most of these business-owners are first or second-generation legal immigrants. They saw the void left as chain grocery stores abandoned the crime-ridden neighborhoods.

They take all the risks, and the blacks in the neighborhood are glad they are there for the most part. Because white owners certainly aren’t coming back.

In one example the store had been in the neighborhood for over 20 years. And you can bet that store didn’t begin with Plexiglas.

If these stores were owned by blacks, you can bet your sweet ass Bass would have no problem with Plexiglas. Further, if Bass were a white Republican, she would be accused of racism against ethnic minorities, and endangering immigrants trying to make a living.

This is the double-double-standard of Leftism. And what’s worse, the move makes no sense.

If buying food through Plexiglas embarrasses a person, shop elsewhere. These business owners aren’t twisting black people’s arms or holding a gun to their heads to have them shop at their stores.
