PROOF FROM FBI: Russian Narrative DEFINITELY Fake News

As if we needed any more proof that Donald Trump has no connection to Russia, we get more.

And this proof from a very unlikely source: the crooked Obama government.

Link to the Justice Files, and you see Papadopoulos testimony about Donald Trump and the Russians. As it turns out, Trump turned down proposed meetings with the Russians.

Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson tweeted:

This from Special Counsel says Russian professor tried for months to arrange meeting between & Russia officials during 2016, an “open invitation,” but Trump not interested, no meeting

This falls under the category of “nothing new”. Recall that Trump volutarily turned over all emails related to this matter.

George Papadopoulos, the Trump campaign adviser snared in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe for making false statements to the FBI, was hung out to dry Tuesday by the White House.

(…)

Mrs. Sanders said the Trump campaign deserved credit for turning over all of Mr. Papadopoulos‘ emails that revealed his false statements to the FBI about dealings with Russia.

The exchanges are among more than 20,000 pages of documents the Trump campaign turned over to congressional committees in March.

Even the anti-Trump, fake news Washington Post even admitted back in March that then candidate-Trump rejected meetings with the Russians.

Three days after Donald Trump named his campaign foreign policy team in March 2016, the youngest of the new advisers sent an email to seven campaign officials with the subject line: “Meeting with Russian Leadership – Including Putin.”

The adviser, George Papadopoulos, offered to set up “a meeting between us and the Russian leadership to discuss US-Russia ties under President Trump,” telling them his Russian contacts welcomed the opportunity, according to internal campaign emails read to The Washington Post.

The proposal sent a ripple of concern through campaign headquarters in Trump Tower. Campaign co-chairman Sam Clovis wrote that he thought NATO allies should be consulted before any plans were made. Another Trump adviser, retired Navy Rear Adm. Charles Kubic, cited legal concerns, including a possible violation of U.S. sanctions against Russia and of the Logan Act, which prohibits U.S. citizens from unauthorized negotiation with foreign governments.

But Papadopoulos, a campaign volunteer with scant foreign policy experience, persisted. Between March and September, the self-described energy consultant sent at least a half-dozen requests for Trump, as he turned from primary candidate to party nominee, or for members of his team to meet with Russian officials. Among those to express concern about the effort was then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who rejected in May 2016 a proposal from Papadopoulos for Trump to do so.

So in what appears to me to be an obvious setup, Donald Trump didn’t bite.

Actually, the Trump campaign and White House cooperated fully with the investigation. We “discovered” exactly what we knew back in March when WaPo published their article. No collusion with the Russians occurred with the Trump team.

What I find most hysterical is the Left believes that Papadopoulos’ testimony would end the Trump presidency. Here’s some Leftist propaganda for your reading pleasure.

If Team Trump can’t convince the public that Papadopoulos was a nobody, they’d at least like people to believe that his repeated effortsto set up a meeting between the campaign and the Russian government were rebuffed by more senior Trump officials. For instance, an attorney for Sam Clovis, the campaign’s national co-chairman, suggested he was just “being polite” when he encouraged Papadopoulos to meet with Russian officials, and was actually trying to brush him off.

But an email from Papadopoulos included in the court filings made public on Monday suggests someone in the Trump camp may have actually okayed a meeting between campaign officials and the Russian government. Per Bloomberg:

Writing to the Russian contact a week before the Republican National Convention, Papadopoulos proposed a meeting for August or September in the U.K. that would include “my national chairman and maybe one other foreign policy adviser” and members of Putin’s office and Russia’s foreign ministry.

“It has been approved by our side,” Papadopoulos wrote.

Now we know the truth. Again.

So what’s the next move for the Left? Manafort?

You haven’t heard that name much, because again there’s nothing there. In fact, Manafort leads to Hillary Clinton and Podesta.

So welcome 2018. This is the year the Democrats sink their ship. And America will toast their demise with a shot of Stolichnaya vodka!
