Media Admits: Trump White House More Media-Friendly Than Obama’s
The shift occurs right before our very eyes. And soon America will see the media shift towards Donald Trump.
The reason is simple: they need to survive.
The first media outlet outside of Fox News that gets the Good Housekeeping seal of approval from Trump will feast on the carcasses of their other competitors, outside of Fox News.
And you can bet that Fox News hopes the media continue their fake news reporting, as Fox News returns to dominance with its fair and balanced approach. So no wonder this photographer decided to tell the truth about Obama…
A staff photographer from The New York Times in Washington, D.C., believes President Donald Trump gives better access than President Barack Obama did, after covering the two administrations.
Doug Mills said that photographers like him receive “a lot more” access compared to the previous administration, in an interview with C-SPAN
“We’re getting a lot more, I mean from a photographer’s standpoint, we get a lot more access to the president. I see him more on a daily basis than we did with Barack Obama,” Mills told the network. “Sometimes three or four times a day, sometimes five times a day we will see him.”
Think about what a turn around this attitude is towards the Trump administration from what we’ve heard over the last two years.
Since day one the left has spun the narrative that Trump’s attitude towards the media has threatened a “free press.” They say Trump’s “assault on the media” has only furthered their bizarre idea that Trump is literally Hitler seeking to silence anyone who dares challenge him.
And this is not just from non-Fox News media, as some might think. Take for example Chris Wallace’s comments on the Trump administration while picking up the International Center for Journalists Founders Award for Excellence in Journalism in Washington D.C.
Wallace charged that Trump has done all he can to de-legitimize the media, “attacking us institutionally, and individually.”
“I think his purpose is clear: a concerted campaign to raise doubts that when we report critically about his administration that we cant be trusted.”
Of course the fake news media has been relentless in their narratives on Trump. Like this from a journalist for USA Today news:
What Trump doesn’t want to point out was that this mistrust of the press has been largely of his own making. He and his advisers fomented Lugenpresse – the concept of “lying press” made famous by the Nazi party in Germany during Adolf Hitler’s rise to power — to undermine journalists covering his presidential campaign at every stop.
But thanks to the comments by the NYT photographer, it turns out the one who seeks to silence the media with his dictator like qualities was no other than the Left’s king Barack Hussein Obama.
Obama aggressively campaigned on a pledge to usher in The Most Transparent Administration Ever™. Instead, during his administration more journalists were threatened, surveilled, and prosecuted under the 1917 Espionage Act than all prior administrations combined.
James Goodale, the former general counsel of the New York Times during its epic fights with the Nixon administration observed that
“President Obama wants to criminalize the reporting of national security information” and added: “President Obama will surely pass President Richard Nixon as the worst president ever on issues of national security and press freedom.”
In addition, a report from former Washington Post executive editor Leonard Downie, Jr., offers a comprehensive survey of the multiple ways that the Obama presidency ushered in a paralyzing climate of fear for journalists and sources alike; one that severely threatens the news-gathering process.
“In the Obama administration’s Washington, government officials are increasingly afraid to talk to the press.” Among the most shameful aspects of the Obama record:
Six government employees, plus two contractors including Edward Snowden, have been subjects of felony criminal prosecutions since 2009 under the 1917 Espionage Act, accused of leaking classified information to the press—compared with a total of three such prosecutions in all previous U.S. administrations.
Still more criminal investigations into leaks are under way. Reporters’ phone logs and e-mails were secretly subpoenaed and seized by the Justice Department in two of the investigations, and a Fox News reporter was accused in an affidavit for one of those subpoenas of being ‘an aider, abettor and/or conspirator’ of an indicted leak defendant, exposing him to possible prosecution for doing his job as a journalist. In another leak case, a New York Times reporter has been ordered to testify against a defendant or go to jail.”
And consider this from Michael Oreskes, a senior managing editor of The Associated Press:
‘The Obama administration has been extremely controlling and extremely resistant to journalistic intervention. There’s a mind-set and approach that holds journalists at a greater distance.”
Keep in mind these comments were made prior to what we’ve learned from the FISA memo about Obama’s surveillance of Trump.
Ironically, these observations about Obama’s controlling tactics came from Leftist news organizations who still to this day, try and protect him at all costs no matter how much abuse they may have to endure. Nevertheless, as we see, the press knows the real truth.
