Witch Hunt Part II: FBI Raids Trump’s Attorney’s Office
The ruse must continue in an effort to tie Donald Trump to Russia.
The Left knows that Trump has no relationship with Russia. Thus, he colluded with nobody. Which is why Mueller needs to rattle the cage of Trump’s attorney.
According to New York Times,
The FBI raided the office of President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen today.
They reported that feds seized records related to his reported $130,000 payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence about an alleged Trump tryst.
“Federal prosecutors in Manhattan obtained the search warrant after receiving a referral from the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III,” the Times reported.
“The search does not appear to be directly related to Mr. Mueller’s investigation, but likely resulted from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York.”
Cohen’s hush payment to Daniels was reportedly not the only issue the feds sought to investigate, per the Times: “The F.B.I. also seized emails, tax documents and business records,” one source familiar with the raid told the paper.
Frankly, I’m anxious to see the results of this raid.
You can bet that Preet Bharara, former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York is happy. He was unceremoniously fired by President Trump. I’m curious to see the role Geoffrey Berman, Bharara’s replacement played in this.
Regardless, this has Robert “Cover My Ass” Mueller’s fingerprints all over it. An investigation that should have been shut down a year ago now involves irrelevant, non-election-meddling information on a porn actress?
I suggest that Mueller must present the “idea” of impropriety, regardless of whether one exists or not. And by getting Trump’s attorney’s records, he hopes to send a message.
This might have worked on another “person of interest”, but Trump is about to get worked up. And despite what you might think, Trump will not go nuclear on Mueller in the Leftists sense. In other words, Trump won’t shoot Mueller at a baseball practice, or try to run him over as he leaves his office.
No, Trump will get smooth. He will continue to be calm in the face of this nonsense, and eventually begin his Twitter attack. This attack will occur with truth bombs, once Mueller finds himself in trouble from his lack of evidence of a crime.
