In what can only be described as a blow to the Democrats, the Kavanaugh report is in.
No court in the land would dare attempt to prosecute Judge Brett Kavanaugh on the flimsy nonsense offered by Democrats.
According to Fox News:
The sex-crimes prosecutor Republicans hired to question Brett Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford at Thursday’s hearing told senators the case would not hold up in a courtroom, sources told Fox News—guidance that could prove critical as wavering lawmakers prepare to vote.
The prosecutor, Rachel Mitchell, spoke at an overnight meeting where all 51 Republican senators were present, two people briefed on the session said.
Did SCOTUS make the right decision on medical mandates for large businesses?
“Mitchell spelled it out and was clear with senators that she could not take this anywhere near a courtroom,” one source told Fox News. She told them she would not charge the Supreme Court nominee and reportedly said she wouldn’t even seek a search warrant.
Mitchell’s opinion could sway fence-sitting senators ahead of a critical Senate Judiciary Committee vote set for Friday afternoon.
Only Senators receiving payola would dare vote against Kavanaugh. And there were plenty of potential for shenanigans during the Senate “farce”, where Ford lied under oath.
Democrats cornered Jeff “the Flake” Flake in the elevator, then later. Who knows what promises he was given, likely funding for his potential failed presidential campaign.
And what of Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins. We have our eyes on you, and all legislation that looks a bit “henke”.
Whether the Democrats drag things out or allow the vote to happen, smart money is on Kavanaugh.
At first the line looked bad for Kavanaugh, as the Des Moines Register reported:
Asking whether Kavanaugh will be confirmed, the Nevada sportsbook Bovada had odds Thursday morning at +115 for “Yes,” meaning a $100 wager would net $215. A “No” bet carried odds of -145. By 1 p.m., Bovada’s moneyline for Kavanaugh’s confirmation had moved to +130 for “Yes” and -160 for “No.”
But then things improved, dramatically.
But during Kavanaugh’s testimony, the “Yes” line shifted to -150, making him a favorite to be confirmed to the high court.
The line will only get better for Kavanaugh, as this latest news suggests. And wait until we provide the next update. Because that report involves one of Kavanaugh’s other accusers. Actually, this story may be what shuts down the Ford farce for good.
