The more we learn about disgraced former Director Comey’s FBI, the worse it gets for them and him.
I’m not sure who’s pulling the levers, but I suggest they just do an information dump. Rather than allowing information come out in drips and drabs, it’s time to rip off the band-aid.
A while back we discovered that the FBI embedded an agent in the Trump campaign…for Trump’s benefit. The FBI omitted a bit of additional information.
As The Daily Caller noted, Comey employed multiple spies:
The U.S. government revealed in court filings Friday that the FBI used multiple confidential informants, including some who were paid for their information, as part of its investigation into former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
“The FBI has protected information that would identify the identities of other confidential sources who provided information or intelligence to the FBI” as well as “information provided by those sources,” wrote David M. Hardy, the head of the FBI’s Record/Information Dissemination Section (RIDS), in court papers submitted Friday.
Democrats continue to claim they want transparency. Thus, they say America must see the truth. However, their tactics work counter to that rhetoric.
We’ve noted that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has apparently finished his report. Nevertheless, he has delayed release of the report until after the midterm elections.
How can Democrats stand for this? They claimed they want all the information. However, when the information is ready, Democrats become noticeably silent. Or they yell that keeping the information confidential is a matter of national security.
In this case as the article notes, information came through FOIA requests:
Hardy and Department of Justice (DOJ) attorneys submitted the filings in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit for the FBI’s four applications for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against Page. The DOJ released heavily redacted copies of the four FISA warrant applications on June 20, but USA Today reporter Brad Heath has sued for full copies of the documents.
When caught based on information turned over due to FOIA request, Hardy fessed up:
Hardy’s declaration acknowledged that the confidential sources used by the FBI were in addition to Christopher Steele, the former British spy who authored the infamous anti-Trump dossier.
“This includes nonpublic information about and provided by Christopher Steele, as well as information about and provided by other confidential sources, all of whom were provided express assurances of confidentiality,” Hardy wrote, referring to information disclosed in the four FISA applications.
So the FBI had not just one, but multiple informants embedded with Trump.
And you can bet the FBI planted these people in the Trump campaign to make sure Trump avoided trouble, right?
If you sense my sarcasm, you’d be right.
Why not disclose the exact number of “helpers” the FBI embedded with the Trump campaign? Also, out of curiosity, were there embedded FBI “helpers” in the Clinton camp?
