If leftists really cared about greenhouse emissions, they would be praising the Trump administration.
After President Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accords, former Vice President Al Gore warned that the president’s decision was a threat to humanity.
The Daily Wire reports:
“I think it was reckless,” Gore said. “I think it was indefensible. It undermines America’s standing in the world. It threatens the ability of humanity to solve the climate crisis in time.”
But this new data is sure to make Al Gore blush:
Greenhouse gas emissions, which scientists claim causes climate change, decreased during Trump’s first year in office, according to a recent report published by the Environmental Protection Agency.
“Overall decreases across sectors and that total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions reported decreased by 2.7 percent from 2016 to 2017,” the EPA report showed.
The decline is a product of private-sector innovation as opposed to Obama-era regulations, the Trump administration touted.
“Thanks to President Trump’s regulatory reform agenda, the economy is booming, energy production is surging, and we are reducing greenhouse gas emissions from major industrial sources,” said EPA Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler. “These achievements flow largely from technological breakthroughs in the private sector, not the heavy hand of government. The Trump Administration has proven that federal regulations are not necessary to drive CO2 reductions. While many around the world are talking about reducing greenhouse gases, the U.S. continues to deliver, and today’s report is further evidence of our action-oriented approach.”
U.S. carbon emissions also declined by more than 42 million tons in 2017, American Enterprise Institute (AEI) reports. Yet, emissions declined by 20 million tons in the next most environmentally-friendly country, Ukraine.
Environmentalists condemn the use of natural gas as an “acceptable” alternative energy source akin to wind power or solar. However, the AEI attributes the U.S.’s carbon emissions decrease to the use of natural gas coupled with the practice of fracking.
But maybe emissions dropped because all the hot air in DC was stopped.
Trump stepped in and stopped the nonsense in Washington. And once again, he’s got the numbers to back him up. These findings are outstanding news for the environment, but the media won’t say much about them.
Perhaps no one wants to tell Al Gore he was wrong, AGAIN. After he “invented” the internet, Gore turned all his talents to saving the world.
His failed documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth,” promised we were in the throws of a planetary emergency. A year later, Gore said the polar ice cap would melt completely by 2013. Of course, we know it didn’t happen.
Still, Gore went on making ill-advised predictions. He also claimed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa would lose it’s snow-pack by 2016. But that also hasn’t happened. In fact, it’s not even close.
With so many failures under his belt, it’s impossible for Gore to save face.
Deregulation is the American Way
Deregulation clearly impacted emissions in a positive manner. Meanwhile, other nations didn’t see the same success the United States found.
Thus, signatories of the Accords negotiated by the United Nations – the European Union, Spain, Canada and China – dramatically increased in carbon dioxide emissions.
China emitted 120 million more tons of carbon dioxide into the air in 2017 than in 2016. The European Union
If Democrats actually thought that “greenhouse gasses” were going to kill us all, they would be demanding federal funding for nuclear power immediately.
They don’t, because “man-made climate change” is just a political lie.
Like the President explained, climate change isn’t necessarily a hoax. But that doesn’t mean it’s man made. The earth had ice ages and warming trends for millions of years before the Industrial Revolution came along.
Ironically, in 1975, Newsweek reported Global Cooling to be the environmental crisis of the times. The change from global cooling to global warming certainly lends credence to Trump’s recent statements.
Obviously, Gore should have Googled a few facts before asserting his “Inconvenient Truth.” Surely, he has access to the internet.
