Did Mueller Receive $500,000 for Uranium One Deal?

If this story pans out, we may know what President Trump alluded to the other day.

Talk about a nuclear bomb going off on Democrats.

They pushed “all in” on Mueller, saying he’s the most honest man in DC. That could be true. As Mueller may be the most honest crook.

According to this tweet, Mueller may have done more on Uranium One than run interference:

People have been sounding the alarm bells on Mueller and Uranium One for some time. His connections to Uranium One are far more egregious than what Sessions had with the Clinton campaign.

As Jim Jordan noted back in 2017:

“Robert Mueller, I think, in light of what we’ve also recently learned, relative to the Uranium One Deal, surely seems a bit compromised to me,” Jordan said in a Fox News interview, adding that his failure to press charges in the investigation of the sale to Russia of a U.S. uranium company puts him in “a somewhat precarious position.”

The congressman said that the “best thing to do” would be for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to name another special counsel to look into the case.

Even Leftist rag Vanity Fair sees potential conflicts.

In the alternative theory of Russian collusion promoted by Donald Trump, it was the Democrats—not his presidential campaign—who were in bed with Moscow. Trump has never bothered to provide specific details of this alleged conspiracy, instead constructing a bricolage of suggestive phrases: Dirty Dossier, the Debbie Wasserman Schultz Servers, Uranium One, the Pakistani Fraudster. Chief among these reference points is Tony Podesta, the Democratic super-lobbyist whose brother ran Hillary Clinton’s campaign. “Was the brother of John Podesta paid big money to get the sanctions on Russia lifted? Did Hillary know?” the president tweeted last year, perhaps referring to to the Podesta Group’s lobbying on behalf of Ukraine, or its work for the Russian-Canadian mining-company Uranium One. On Sunday, Trump tweeted again: “Why isn’t Mueller looking at all of the criminal activity & real Russian Collusion on the Democrats side—Podesta, Dossier?”

In fact, special counsel Robert Mueller has been investigating Tony Podesta for about a year for failing to disclose some of his lobbying ties to Russia. On Wednesday, CNN reported that Mueller had handed the probe to prosecutors for the Southern District of New York—the same office investigating Michael Cohen. Two other lobbyists, Gregory Craig, who served as White House counsel for Barack Obama, and Vin Weber, a former Republican Congressman from Minnesota, are also reportedly part of the inquiry. According to CNN, all three men were ensnared in the Mueller probe because of their ties to former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

That’s a lot of names that are rarely kicked around when Mueller discusses indictments. And these people directly connect to Russia for the most part. At worst, they stand two degrees of separation.

What they all have in common is a connection to either the Clintons or Barack Obama.

The Washington Times noted the uncanny timing of paid speeches for the Clintons and Russia:

The New York Times reported in 2015 that “shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, [former President Bill] Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.” In total, $145 million went to the Clinton Foundation from interests linked to Uranium One, which was acquired by the Russian government nuclear agency Rosatum.

Think that was just a coincidence? As former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy points out, the Uranium One deal is not a national security scandal, it is a corruption scandal involving “Clinton family self-dealing.” Ask yourself: How many half-a-million-dollar speeches has Bill Clinton given to Kremlin-linked banks since Hillary Clinton was defeated? How much Russian money is flowing into the Clinton Foundation’s coffers today? If Donald Trump had given a $500,000 speech paid for by a Kremlin bank, and his private foundation had accepted $145 million from Vladimir Putin-linked oligarchs and their Western business partners, do you think that his critics would be insisting there was nothing to see here?

Interestingly, Mueller’s investigation hasn’t touched on this yet. It’s not like there aren’t people who knew.

Take for instance the FBI informant who discussed this Russian connection to the Clintons.

An FBI informant involved in the controversial Uranium One deal has told congressional committees that Moscow paid millions to a U.S. lobbying firm in a bid to influence then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by helping former President Bill Clinton’s charities during the Obama administration.

The Hill first reported late Wednesday that informant Douglas Campbell gave a 10-page statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee, House Intelligence Committee and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and was interviewed for several hours behind closed doors by committee staff.

In the statement, obtained by Fox News, Campbell said Russian executives told him that Moscow was hiring APCO Worldwide in an effort to influence the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton.

Funny how the scandal-free administration of Obama still finds itself embroiled in scandal. And if Mueller is proven to be as dirty as most Conservatives believe him to be, game over.

I find it hard to believe the Democrats would leave such a paper trail on Mueller, but you never know. Maybe they got sloppy, since they anticipated a Clinton win in 2016?
