Robert Mueller covers for his crooked colleagues in his latest declaration. But what else is new.
Mueller is the fixer. And I call Mueller this often, because the Left wants Americans to believe the “fixer” is on Trump’s side. In fact, they claim the fixer is Cohen.
Sure, because everybody has a fixer who punks out at the first sign of strife.
In Mueller’s latest fix attempt, he sells the idea that the president’s National Security Adviser would tell the FBI “the nature of his discussions”.
Here’s how Newsmax reported it:
Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, cited Flynn’s senior posts in government in pushing back against Flynn’s assertion that the lack of a warning should be a mitigating factor in his sentencing on Tuesday.
“A sitting National Security Adviser, former head of an intelligence agency, retired Lieutenant General, and 33-year veteran of the armed forces knows he should not lie to federal agents,” Mueller’s office said in the court filing. “He does not need to be warned it is a crime to lie to federal agents to know the importance of telling them the truth.”
What Flynn did is what his training taught him. Flynn recognized the enemy, and it was the FBI.
Flynn is trained not to overtalk. Whatever he said was “need to know”. And as for his indictment and ultimate conviction, Flynn did what a good warrior does. He took his punishment. And in this case, Flynn knows the punishment won’t last long.
Mueller likely doesn’t realize it, but his statement about Flynn may be the one that haunts him the most. Because the FBI handling of Flynn is very much in question.
In the latest release of new information surrounding the Democrats’ attempt to steal the election, code name: Russian Collusion, it’s clear the FBI contradicts itself.
Multiple sources reported on Comey’s testimony on Flynn:
In March 2017, then-FBI Director James Comey briefed a number of Capitol Hill lawmakers on the Trump-Russia investigation. One topic of intense interest was the case of Michael Flynn, the Trump White House national security adviser who resigned under pressure on Feb. 13 after just 24 days in the job.
There were widespread reports that Flynn had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about telephone conversations that he, Flynn, had with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the transition in late December 2016. On Jan. 24, 2017, two of Comey’s FBI agents went to the White House to question Flynn, and there was a lot of speculation later that Flynn lied in that interview, which would be a serious crime.
“The Jan. 24 interview potentially puts Flynn in legal jeopardy,” the Washington Post reported in February. “Lying to the FBI is a felony offense.”
There was also a lot of concern in Congress, at least among Republicans, about the leak of the wiretapped Flynn-Kislyak conversation. Such intelligence is classified at the highest level of secrecy, yet someone — Republicans suspected Obama appointees in the Justice Department and intelligence community — revealed it to the press.
As Kimberly Strassel has asked multiple times, why hasn’t this crime been investigated. As far as Mueller’s investigation goes, this is a real crime that needs follow up.
Next, Mueller should be looking at everybody associated with the fake dossier.
As for Flynn, the article continues,
So in March, lawmakers wanted Comey to tell them what was up. And what they heard from the director did not match what they were hearing in the media.
According to two sources familiar with the meetings, Comey told lawmakers that the FBI agents who interviewed Flynn did not believe that Flynn had lied to them, or that any inaccuracies in his answers were intentional. As a result, some of those in attendance came away with the impression that Flynn would not be charged with a crime pertaining to the Jan. 24 interview.
This won’t end well for Democrats. And this is why they fight so hard in the cover-up. The tell-tale signs will come soon, as Democrats see clearly the writing on the wall.
Flynn did nothing wrong. But Mueller and his Gestapo made a case from thin air. America knows this, for the most part.
But what’s most interesting to me is that Trump will be the one to take them down. Mueller cut his teeth on Flynn. And then he went after the big dawg. That’s where he picked the wrong adversary. Trump will never let them win.
