President Trump Goes on TIRADE against Michael Cohen

President Donald Trump continues pounding on Robert Mueller, though this time indirectly.

Trump bashed his former shyster attorney, the now disgraced Michael Cohen.

Cohen cut a deal that netted Robert Mueller nothing but embarrassment. The president drove that point home, establishing that Mueller cuts deals for one purpose: to trump up fake charges.

The president wants Cohen to get punished to the full extent of the law. And said so, according to CNBC:

An angry President Donald Trump on Monday called for his ex-personal lawyer Michael Cohen to receive a stiff prison sentence for his admitted crimes, as he accused Cohen of making up “stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself.”

Trump in a Twitter tirade also accused special counsel Robert Mueller of seeking “lies” from witnesses about Trump — and praised his long-time associate Roger Stone of having the “guts” to withstand pressure from Mueller’s prosecutors to “make up stories” about the president.

Democrats notoriously set people free, as long as they toe the party line. President Trump rightfully ask for anybody who lies to get their just due.

But he does something much larger, as he continues to shine the spotlight on Mueller. Yet again Mueller strikes out. Twice now Cohen offered the smoking gun Leftists so hope for. Now they are reduced to accusing billionaire businessman Donald Trump of being a businessman.

And die-hard anti-Trumpers like Congressmen Adam Schiff and Michael Nadler look like buffoons, as they try to connect the dots on a deal that died on the vine to Russian collusion in an election.

Even Jake Tapper cried foul on Nadler. Tapper actually acted like a journalist, the story so badly failed the smell test.

The Daily Caller noted:

CNN host Jake Tapper expressed skepticism that Michael Cohen’s Thursday guilty plea necessarily amounted to “any evidence” of a conspiracy between the Trump team and the Russian government to interfere in the 2016 election.

After introducing New York Rep. Jerry Nadler as “the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee” who is “expected” to become its chairman, Tapper immediately questioned the congressman about actual “evidence of conspiracy” resulting from former Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s plea deal.

“Look, this is clearly not welcome news for the president,” said Tapper. “I don’t want to pretend that it is but once again I look at these documents and I don’t see any evidence of conspiracy between members of the Trump team and the Russian government to interfere in the election.”

After Nadler called the potential Moscow project a “corrupt business deal,” Tapper pressed: “You call it a corrupt business deal?”

Tapper scoffed at the notion. Understand, that’s huge for CNN to actually make Leftists defend their positions. And Nadler failed miserably.

I’ve said this more than once, but Mueller has reached the end of the road. President Trump knows it, and he warned Mueller.

In his latest tweets on Mueller, the president all but demands Mueller expose his own dirty dealings. If we’ve learned anything about Trump, we know his timing in such matters is uncanny.

When Mueller does his final report, will he be covering all of his conflicts of interest in a preamble, will he be recommending action on all of the crimes of many kinds from those “on the other side”(whatever happened to Podesta?), and will he be putting in statements from…..

Back to Cohen.

It’s critical to understand that President Trump protects no one. He allowed this sham investigation to continue unencumbered by him, because Trump believes in the truth.

Thus, he praises those who avoid Mueller’s magician act of making cases from thin air. But Trump destroys those too weak to tell the truth.

Now that some fight back, things get dicey for Mueller. All who remain as those the president mentioned: Democrats.

Given the very wide scope of his investigation, Mueller must start looking at Clinton and Obama people, if he is to save face at all.

But woe unto Mueller when he opens that can of worms. First, he will bury most of the elitist Democrats, and make many of his surrogates look bad. Second, he will likely bury himself.

Will he expose that disgraced former FBI Director James Comey was a mid-level fixer for the Democrats. And that Democrats placed Comey to provide cover for the Clintons?

Then what will we learn of Mueller?

Consider how many times the Left said, “Trump is scared!”

Here’s Joy Reid back in mid 2017 saying Trump is scared.

I wrote a while back that Democrats should consider that they are wrong. Play Devil’s advocate before going all in on this bet. Apparently, they didn’t listen.

But they were smart enough to drop Russian collusion prior to the midterms. I wrote:

Remember when Russian collusion was all the Democrats talked about. Now, they are quieter than a library mouse pissing on cotton.

As I written, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has one reason for delaying his report on Russian collusion until after the midterm elections. The result of report will guarantee Democrats lose.

The Republicans won’t need any help, as the public has figured out what’s in Mueller’s report.

Post-election, Democrats will face music from another dimension. Expect many of them to go to prison. This will be followed by the continued mass exodus from their party.

The play is so obvious, that NPR pondered the Democrats’ strategy of dropping Russian collusion as well. They wrote:

The president’s onetime national security adviser, campaign chairman, campaign vice chairman, campaign foreign policy aide and others have pleaded guilty to federal charges.

The president’s son before Election Day in 2016 met with representatives of the same foreign government that employs roughly two dozen people charged by the Justice Department with attacking the election.

It’s a slam dunk for political opponents, right? Wrong.

As midterm campaigning heats up and Democrats try to make their way back from the political wilderness, they are mostly not relying on the Russia imbroglio to make their case to voters.

Although the subject comes up and the party has elected to attack President Trump and Republicans for what they call a “culture of corruption” — which broadly involves the Russia saga — the big political focus is elsewhere.

What struck me most about this article is NPR confessing that Democrats are “avoiding” discussing Russia.

Democrats pulled a fast one, then cheated their way to control of the House.

But they won’t survive the onslaught coming in 2020. America will have seen enough.
