Ocasio-Cortez on Climate Change: ‘The world is gonna end in 12-years’

And you thought Al Gore was bat sh*t crazy, look at his protégé.

At least in her declaration that the world will end, we don’t have to wait a lifetime to see it, so to speak.

According to The Daily Mail,

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on Monday that ‘the world is gonna end in 12 years’ if laws aren’t passed to address climate change and that it was ‘immoral’ for billionaires to exist in the same country where people struggled to make ends meet.

During an interview with journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates at Riverside Church in Manhattan on Monday, the New York Congresswoman said she and other millennials view climate change as ‘our World War II’

Coates invited Ocasio-Cortez, the Democratic socialist, to the special forum honoring Martin Luther King Jr.

Partial Transcript:

Millennials and Gen Z and all these folks that come after us are looking up, and we’re like the world is going to end in 12 years if you don’t address climate change, and your biggest issue is how are we going to pay for it? This is the war, this is our WWII.

And it… I think for younger people we’re looking at this and and we’re like how are we saying let’s take it easy when 3,000 Americans died last year. How are we saying take it easy when the Nth person has just died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system.

How are we saying take it easy when the America that we are living into today is so dystopian with people sleeping in their cars so they can work a second job without healthcare and we’re told to settle down?

It’s a fundamental, uh separation between that fierce urgency of now, the why we can’t wait that King spoke of. At some point, these chronic realities do reach a breaking point.

I’m really not sure where to begin dissecting this moron.

What Ocasio-Cortez seems to believe is she can fix all the problems of the world. She discusses these issues as if they exist only in America. Moreover, Leftist American ideas will save the world from the cruelty of our system.

And the comment that 3,000 Americans died last year? What the flunk is that about? This clown acts as if she can prevent death, if only we stop climate change. With her ideas, Millennials and Gen Z can avoid their version of World War II?

Next, how many people did our cruel criminal justice system kill? Not as many as most of the world’s. One of my friend stationed in Turkey said to me that Turkish prisons drag the bodies outside daily, so relatives can look for their kin. If Ocasio-Cortez wants to see cruel prisons, I suggest she visit North Korea and see how Otto Warmbier lived before he returned to America to die.

As for this dystopian America with people sleeping in cars, I dare this woman to find a society where this doesn’t occur. Moreover, I can almost guarantee you there are fewer people sleeping in their cars in America than anywhere else, that is if the people sleeping in other countries even own cars or houses.

Finally, I love when Leftists attack healthcare. They system of which Ocasio-Cortez complains was born of the last president. It’s convenient for Ocasio-Cortez and other Leftists to use healthcare as their excuse for wanting to change the world, when Obamacare was the pill to cure all ills.

Sadly for us, Obamacare is the reason for many of the problems Ocasio-Cortez described. The legislation likely killed all 3,000 of the people she mentioned. Obama lied about lower rates, as they tripled in some cases. He lied about keeping doctors and plans.

The article continues,

She also told Coates that it was ‘immoral’ how the American economic system ‘allows billionaires to exist.’

Ocasio-Cortez, 29, said: ‘I don’t think that necessarily means that all billionaires are immoral.

Then what does she mean?

‘It is not to say that someone like Bill Gates, for example, or Warren Buffett are immoral people.

‘I do not believe that… but I do think a system that allows billionaires to exist when there are parts of Alabama where people are still getting ringworm because they don’t have access to public health is wrong.

‘I think that it’s wrong that a vast majority of the country does not make a living great wage.

Again, her excuse for people’s health problems falls on achievers.

Does Obamacare not provide an ointment for ringworm, or do those billionaire bastard keep all the ointments locked up in their mansions.

The government extracts money from the best of us, including billionaires. Perhaps we should demand that all billionaires show how much they pay in taxes so we can shut up these socialist idiots?

But let’s not forget her main point. All this is moot, unless we tackle climate change. And we have until 2031 to “git ‘er done”.
