Crooked Cohen Faces New Charges

Michel Cohen gave democrats exactly what they wanted- a Trump tirade.

And then Republicans fired back. Apparently, despite vast number of dishonest scumbags employed by Congress, lying to the government is still frowned upon.

Cohen’s testimony is much like the Jussie Smollett interview on GMA. It held all the credibility that a disgraced, disbarred former attorney typically holds. So, Cohen decided to go for broke.

Cohen doesn’t have much to lose.

He’s already sitting in prison, and he recently learned he can’t work as the jailhouse lawyer, since he was disbarred.

Therefore, Cohen decided to lie to Congress in hopes of shortening his sentence. If he’s lucky, Cohen’s strategy will work. But it’s more likely for this strategy to backfire, and actually add a few more years to his sentence.

As Fox News explains:

House Oversight Committee Republicans on Thursday referred ex-Trump attorney Michael Cohen to the Justice Department for alleged perjury, claiming he lied during sworn testimony before the panel a day earlier about a number of issues including his ambitions to work in the Trump administration and contracts with foreign entities.

Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., penned a letter Thursday to newly sworn-in Attorney General William Barr, citing evidence that Cohen “committed perjury” during his hearing before the committee on Wednesday.

“We write to refer significant evidence that Michael D. Cohen committed perjury and knowingly made false statements during his testimony before an Oversight and Reform Committee hearing,” they wrote. “While testifying under oath, Mr. Cohen made what appear to be numerous willfully and intentionally false statements of material fact contradicted by the record established by the Justice Department in United States v. Cohen.”

They added: “Mr. Cohen’s testimony before the Committee at times was in direct contradiction to assertions contained in pleadings authored by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY.) There are other instances in which Mr. Cohen’s statements to the Committee were immediately contradicted by witnesses with firsthand knowledge of the subject matter.”

I’m sure Cohen hopes the Mueller report continues to face delays, as it will clear Trump and further prove Cohen is a closet-leftist.

The Clinton Connection

Like most Washington scandals, if it smells like a dead raccoon on a hot summer day in Arkansas, it leads back to the Clintons. Cohen is no exception. His lawyer is Lanny Davis, the same lawyer who led former President Bill Clinton’s public defense in the 1990s.  Further, Davis is close to Hillary Clinton.

In fact, Davis penned a book titled: “The Unmaking of the President 2016: How FBI Director James Comey Cost Hillary Clinton the Presidency.” Now Davis defends Cohen for one simple reason: a chance at revenge. But Davis is sadly mistaken if he thinks Cohen’s lies will quieten the “lock her up” battle cry.

Truth Will Prevail

Eventually, the Mueller report will makes its way to the public. But leftists won’t find the vindication they seek.

As Kevin Jackson puts it:

I can’t wait to watch Adam Schiff and other NeverTrump Leftists publicly eat their crow after the Mueller report comes out…finally.

There is a reason Mueller continues to delay this report. Because contained therein is the executioner’s orders for the Left. $25+ million to produce nothing. And don’t think Trump won’t give us the actual numbers and remind America who could have been helped if Democrats never started this witch hunt.

Final takeaway, Cohen won’t be the only disgraced person in this. The number of people who take a Q-score beating will permeate the Left. Hollyweirdos will suffer the worst defeat, and thus the cause of Leftism will suffer alongside.

Watch for Hollywood types to suddenly see the writing on the wall. Like Pelosi did with Smollett, many will remove their tweets against the president. And God-forbid they actually start praising him.
