Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit the scene defeating an establishment Democrat. Although that bothered Democrat leadership, it’s what she did next that sealed her fate.
AOC wasn’t in office a minute in DC, when she protested against Nancy Pelosi. Big mistake.
Pelosi won’t kill you like Hillary Clinton. But she will kill your career. And that’s just what’s happening.
Politico wrote of the burgeoning battle as follows:
The first two battles led by Ocasio-Cortez and her Instagramming army of rebels ran smack into Pelosi’s establishment fortress. When Ocasio-Cortez made waves by loudly demanding a new committee tasked with drafting a “Green New Deal,” Pelosi quietly brushed it aside last week, as if to say: Kids, brush up on your Schoolhouse Rock. Then after a meek surrender, Ocasio-Cortez, along with Rep. Ro Khanna, hastily tried to derail restoration of the so-called pay-as-you-go rule or “PAYGO”—a limitation on new spending without offsets that some on the left see as a threat to their big-ticket agenda—only to watch the chairs of the Congressional Progressive Caucus side with Pelosi and nip the rebellion in the bud.
This is only the beginning on that war front. And I recognized that while Democrats need a torch-bearer, Pelosi won’t allow AOC to be the one carrying it.
From the moment I learned that AOC has no filter and is dumber than a bushel of Leftist blondes, I knew her career would be a flash. She’s worse than Anthony Weiner.
How many lamebrained comments have come from this woman? Forget the Green New Deal, an idea that should embarrass a third-graders. AOC began much earlier than this with her socialist agenda.
In watching her interviews, one could see how she tried to work out her ideas on camera. And with even the mildest push-back, she got that blank stare. The Daily Caller chronicled only a few of her Bidenesque gaffes:
The most asked question of AOC was, “How will you pay for it?”. Her standard reply was that America is so rich we could pay for anything.
While AOC considers herself a revolutionary, she fights to take America back to the imperialism that so angered the colonists we formed what would become these United States.
AOC’s revolution has the governor of her state begging Amazon to reconsider relocating to New York City. Why? Because 25,000 high-paying jobs and the ancillary benefits therein. And it’s not like New York doesn’t need the revenue.
The state practically chases out their wealthy, so much so that former NYC Mayor Bloomberg warned that New York is headed for disaster, if they continue to raise taxes. Yet, AOC proudly declared victory over the loss of 25,000 jobs. She defeated capitalism, while wearing her Hermes outfit and carrying her Fendi purse. Then, she tweeted her victory on her latest version of the Apple iPhone.
The Setup
Democrats have seen enough, and now I suspect they set up AOC. Republicans don’t care where AOC got her funding or what she did with it. For Republicans, AOC is manna from Heaven; a political Godsend.
I heard that some Conservative group looked into Ocasio-Cortez’ finances. But I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they were sponsored by Leftists. And if I am wrong on that point, I still believe the Democrats will look the other way should AOC receive a Republican beatdown.
AOC’s campaign has been accused of diverting over $1 million into other areas:
Two political action committees founded by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s top aide funneled over $1 million in political donations into two of his own private companies, according to a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission on Monday.
The cash transfers from the PACs — overseen by Saikat Chakrabarti, the freshman socialist Democrat’s chief of staff — run counter to her pledges to increase transparency and reduce the influence of “dark money” in politics.
Chakrabarti’s companies appear to have been set up for the sole purpose of obscuring how the political donations were used.
Keep in mind, AOC’s campaign manager is the same person who offered up excuses for the 3rd-grade-level Green New Deal.
He defended the document, saying they accidentally released a preliminary document.
As for his dark money, Chakrabarti bragged on his ability to channel all their campaign contributions into a single source. This declaration will be difficult to moonwalk back in clown shoes.
DNC Chairman Tom Perez called AOC the future of the Democratic Party. However, look at the media reports and tell me you see Democrats circling the wagons around her. Mostly they seem to be trying to ignore the story, which I consider a bit of a reprimand by Pelosi.
You can bet Pelosi had a meeting with AOC’s team where she explained to the Congressional ingenue that if AOC doesn’t get with the program, the media can quickly be turned against her.
It will be interesting to watch, as Democrats prepare to feast on the crow meat of one of their own.
