In February, a doleful De Blasio declared that the city expects to see $935 million less in income tax revenue. That 7% drop is going to make New York City’s $92 billion budget, up $3 billion since last year, a lot more challenging. And, for the first time ever, he demanded that city agencies cut three-quarters of a billion, even as he doubled down on welfare to polish his progressive image for a presidential run.
“We have some tough choices up ahead,” he warned.
Sorry, “brothers and sisters”, suddenly there wasn’t “plenty of money in the city” anymore.
Yes, that’s the same person who Leftists say might run for president against Trump. Trust me, he won’t.
And neither will Former ethnocentric racist Obama Attorney General Eric Holder. He too decided to not to run. Not too tough a decision for a man who might serve part of the rest of his life in prison. Holder knows he has no chance of defeating Trump. And neither does any candidate the Left proposes.
Michael Bloomberg threatened to run, then quieted. Keep in mind he was forced to mock the “future of the Democratic Party”, namely Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ Green New Deal. The irony that Bloomberg wanted to limit people in NYC to 16 ounce drinks, but look at AOC as a kook. And now he’s even calling out de Blasio, rightfully.
Add to this the admission by both Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer that President Trump was right to leave the negotiation table with North Korea. They applauded the president for not lifting sanctions against North Korea until we get a better deal. What’s up with these two NeverTrump stooges? Did the world flip on its axis?
But that’s not all, as a former Hollyweirdo entered the pro-Trump fray.
Leftist Jon Stewart praised President Trump for his handling of New York’s first-responders who took ill after 9-11.
Clearly something is afoot, folks. These mini-defections occur more regularly. And I predict the trend continues.
The number of people who have contacted me saying they support Trump now more than ever increased dramatically since the beginning of the year. It’s been brewing for a couple of years. But the Jussie Smollett fiasco for the Left pushed a lot of people over the edge.
Still, Smollett will be small potatoes compared to what we learn about the fake news Russian collusion story. When that breaks, Democrats will leave their party in droves.
