In case you are like me and disregard the “awards” Leftists give themselves, I have more evidence for us being right to do so.
Like the Nobel Peace Prize given to Obama, these awards prove meaningless. Awards are given to the person who is most popular at the time, and who espouses the prevailing Leftist mantras of the day.
In the case of Obama, he did nothing to further peace. In fact, at the time, he had multiple wars raging. This after campaigning on the idea of shutting down the “Bush wars”.
More evidence came as Colin Kaepernick was declared the “Citizen of the Year” for kneeling in protest of police violence against blacks. So what the stats in no way reflect anything close to what Kaepernick alleged.
And is Michelle Obama really the best-dressed First Lady? Or the best-dressed anybody, for that matter? Vanity Fair declared her as such, and I wrote about it.
The only way Michelle Obama beats Melania in anything related to looks or fashion is with a steep Affirmative Action curve.
For the record, that is not a criticism of Michelle Obama, necessarily. But Stevie Wonder can see that Melania is heads and shoulders better looking, more elegant, and sophisticated than Michelle Obama. PERIOD.
And what of these annual, “Most Admired” polls? I wrote of one not long ago.
We live in a time of undeserved awards. And Leftists love giving those awards to themselves.
While Leftists call Trump’s win a “populist” revolt, it is the Left who votes on populism. Look at Obama’s win.
On paper, Obama was the least qualified president in the history of the United States. He even admitted publicly that he was not ready to be president. But that didn’t stop him from running, nor did it stop millions of Leftists (and a few others) from assuaging their guilt and voting for Baby Black Jesus.
What did their populism get them? The most worthless president in American history. Obama is an embarrassment as president by any measure. Domestic policy, foreign policy, even intergalactic policy.
In the wake of the Mueller Report, we get another such blatant slap in the face.
Practically all fake news journalists bought into the blatant lie of “Russian collusion” by the Trump administration. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop Pulitzer from recognizing their work as stellar.
Mollie Hemingway by way of Peter Heller tipped me off to this atrocity in a tweet:
Was joking about this just today. yes, the WP and NYT won *PULITZERS* for their supposed stellar reporting on Trump’s treasonous activity with Russia. It’s too perfect. PULITZERS. I thought media’s reputation couldn’t go lower than where it was November 2016. Boy was I wrong.

Indeed, the press can stoop even lower.
From Pulitzer’s website:
Staffs of The New York Times and The Washington Post
For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration. (The New York Times entry, submitted in this category, was moved into contention by the Board and then jointly awarded the Prize.)
Amy Julia Harris and Shoshana Walter of Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting Brett Murphy of USA Today Network
Understand how badly these people blew their reporting. Yet they managed to win publishing’s most prestigious award.
