President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, disgraced liar Michael Cohen testified before a House committee on Wednesday. All for Democrats’ political theater.
Thus, Leftists like Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler have tingles running up their flimsy legs.
This is because Cohen provided a behind-the-scenes account of what he claims is Trump’s lying, racism and cheating. Added to this, Cohen claims Trump participated in criminal conduct.
Despite having been to this rodeo more than once, Democrats wanted another ride on Bodacious. And like all the cowboys who rode that bull, they got bucked off with a fierceness.
Nevertheless, Democrats don’t seem to understand, no smoke, no fire. Thus, Cohen returned because despite Mueller’s complete investigation of the man, Cohen supposedly has new evidence. Apparently, the secret recordings and FBI raid of Cohen’s office turned up new Photoshop “evidence” of Trump with Russian call-girls.
This information comes from “anonymous” sources of the fake news media.
Cohen’s testimony started a full day before the taxpaying citizens of America, ergo the bosses, could hear what the rat had to say. This allows other swamp rat Leftist bureaucrats time to spin the lack of any fruit-bearing information.
Then, Cohen testified again behind closed doors to the House intelligence committee- the irony being a House run by Nancy Pelosi has no intelligence.
Why would anybody not trust Cohen?
After all, he’s the sheister who audiotaped his client, without his client’s permission. Further, after the raid of his office, they found nothing on Trump, but now Cohen sits in prison, convicted of lying to the House and Senate intelligence committees in 2017.
And then there is the lie Cohen told to the House and Senate intelligence committees about abandoning a proposal for a Trump Tower in Moscow in January 2016. Cohen has since acknowledged he continued pursuing the project for months after that.
So as I commented at the time, Cohen lied about his client (a builder) potentially building a building in Russia? Clearly, that’s within the realm of standard business practice for Donald Trump.
Can you say, “railroaded”? Because that’s what Mueller and team got Cohen on.
Regardless, clearly Democrats haven’t really considered the timing of all of this?
I mean, on the heels of Jussie Smollett, one would think the Democrats would be much more circumspect with their choices of storytellers.
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr told The Associated Press that senators will have staff ask questions but will be in the room to observe. He added that no topics will be off limits and Cohen “should expect to get any question from anywhere about anything.”
This sounds suspiciously like the scope of Mueller’s witch hunt. Which makes the additional testimony of Cohen that much more laughable, given Mueller has already questioned him.
So what’s new?
Burr declared that committee members know a lot more than they did when they first interviewed Cohen. And in the spirit of the former Gestapo, Burr suggested the committee will take steps to ensure Cohen is telling the truth.
“Ve have ways to make you TALK!”
Burr’s actual comment,
“I’m sure there will be some questions we know the answers to, so we’ll test him to see whether in fact he’ll be truthful this time.”
I love that last part. “This time”. Because last time they didn’t give him enough pressure incentive. Essentially what Burr alludes to is they pressured Cohen and he cracked a bit. Now they will pressure his wife, kids, friends, associates, etc. Eventually, Cohen will say he kidnapped the Lindbergh baby.
Sources say Democrats were truly giddy at the possible tales Cohen might regale them with, given his newfound zest for the truth. But I’m sure the bubbles danced out of their champagne after the circus ended.
To recap, Cohen lied twice to Congress for no reason. Next, they got him for campaign finance violations for his involvement in payments to two women who allege they had affairs with Trump. And when Cohen found himself behind bars, he suddenly wanted a chance to sing a new tune.
For the life of me, I don’t know why this white man is serving a single day of time. I don’t have a law degree, but I could have gotten him out of this jam.
The Left’s hopes hinged on proving that Trump directed Cohen to arrange the payments to buy the silence of porn actress Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal in the run-up to the 2016 campaign.
But as I told my sales teams over the years, “Hope is NOT a strategy!” Thus, democrats just lost again.
