Democrats BAD GAMBIT: Making Barr the Bad Guy

Last time I checked, AG William Barr isn’t running for political office. So I find it interesting that Democrats shifted their demonizing from Trump to Barr.

Actually I know why they did this. But I will explain this later.

Suffice it to say, the shift marks a major turning point for Democrats. Frankly, while the strategy to get Trump backfired, the strategy to get Barr shows even more desperation.

President Trump gets it. Thus as Fox News reports, the president plays along:

Attorney General William Barr will have the final say on whether Special Counsel Robert Mueller will testify before Congress about his report on the Russia investigation, President Trump said Thursday.

“I’m going to leave that up to our very great attorney general,” Trump told reporters, according to Roll Call. “He’ll make a decision on that.”

Barr — who has said he doesn’t object to Mueller testifying — has authority to block Mueller from appearing before Congress because the special counsel is a Justice Department employee.

Congressional Democrats have pushed for Barr to release the unredacted version of Mueller’s 400-page report, to no avail. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., have said the actions of Trump and Barr amount to a “constitutional crisis.”

Hey Democrats, you’re going the wrong way!

So why the shift to Barr? Easy. Because the Democrats can’t get Trump.

Democrats retry their strategy to get Trump “satellites”. Yes, like they got Donald Jr? And like they got Jared Kushner? Exactly.

The strategy failed then, like it fails again now. And if anybody recognizes a failed strategy, it’s President Trump. So he’s given Barr the choice on what he does. Great response!

The president removed himself from the line of fire. And while Barr sits squarely in the crosshairs of the Democrats, they shoot with a faulty weapon. The barrel of their rifle is bent, and now Trump and Barr dare them to pull the trigger.

Barr loves his spot. He came in on the back-end of a flawed investigation. Though Democrats stacked the deck against Trump, America received the predictable outcome.

As for Barr, he merely reported the facts. And now he gets to decide whether or not to thumb his nose at the Democrats. Whether he testifies or not, Democrats are in deep and very hot water. So it won’t be long before they beg for mercy.

In short, Trump has moved farther from the Democrats’ nonsense. And now they get a seasoned no-nonsense litigator who is about to have his way with them. I imagine Barr sits at his home these days saying, “Bring it!”.
