Bernie “Socialist” Sanders wants his fat bank account and to spend it too. Talk about having his cake.
The “Let them eat cake!” mocks socialist-turned-millionaire Bernie Sanders. But receives no cover from his peers.
They recognize the hypocrisy of the newly-minted millionaire still pretending to fight for the little guy.
As The Hill Reporter described, Sanders isn’t taking the criticism of some of them too well.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, a candidate running for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in the 2020 campaign, penned a letter this weekend that is critical of a liberal think tank. According to Sanders, the Center for American Progress is making what he believes are undue criticisms of himself and other progressive candidates.
Sanders wrote a letter to the organization, whose news site ThinkProgress recently published critical posts of the candidate, and explained his frustrations, according to reporting from the New York Times.
“Last week, you published an article on ThinkProgress criticizing me for my appearance and for the income I earned from writing a book,” Sanders wrote. “Then, a day later, you published a video that dishonestly attacked me for hypocrisy in my effort to address income inequality in America – a video that was excitedly discussed on many conservative websites.”
Time for Sanders to practice what he preaches? Maybe not.
According to pollster Frank Luntz, Sanders is most likely to win the democratic nomination.
In an appearance on FNC’s “MediaBuzz,” pollster Frank Luntz shares his finding. Apparently the term “capitalism” no longer polls well with the American people. So Luntz predicts that Senator Bernie Sanders is the most likely to win the Democratic nomination for president, not Creepy Joe Biden. According to Luntz, Sanders’ message of democratic socialism plays well with the Left.
“It is not that principles are dead, in fact, the principles of economic freedom are alive and well,” Luntz explained. “But capitalism itself has been so demonized by media that… if you want to oppose socialism you oppose it by talking about freedom, not capitalism.”
While I don’t believe Luntz, I know that Biden won’t be the Democrats’ choice. They’ve attempted to shoe-horn Biden in for some time. But as I’ve said for some time, Biden has major issues to overcome. But so does Bernie Sanders.
His sellout to Clinton won’t help him. But while candidate Trump could have beaten him, President Trump will trounce him. And the idea that Sanders surges shows that Democrats have serious problems ahead.
