Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tucked-tail and ran. Because she almost bumped into her 2020 opponent during a Puerto Rican parade.
The New York Post tweeted about the encounter, showing pictures of an exasperated Rich Valdes:

Many people have called Ocasio-Cortez out. But she wouldn’t dare debate anyone of note. Why bother, as one would have a better challenger if you debated a baboon.
The New York Post reported on AOC’s tortured moment:
US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez turned tail on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue to avoid a potential Republican challenger as they both marched in the National Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday, her political opponent said.
Talk-radio producer Rich Valdes told The Post that he tried to challenge the freshman Democratic congresswoman to a debate on the merits of capitalism versus socialism when he spotted her near West 47th Street.
But Ocasio-Cortez “cut her handshaking short, jerked her hand back and jetted to the other side of the street,” Valdes said.
“She literally ran!” he said.
“I thought this was a good time to try and get a response but I honestly only saw the back of her head as she trotted across the street.”
I suspect Valdes will chase AOC down quite a bit. She loves the spotlight, and Pelosi seems unable to control her. So Valdes will likely get many opportunities to prove to New Yorkers that their experiment with Affirmative Action representation should end.
AOC beat a lazy white Democrat incumbent who didn’t take her seriously. This time will be very different.
Actually, that’s not even true. AOC didn’t beat anyone. As we uncovered back in March, she’s just a paid actress. I’m going to venture a guess that when Justice Democrats employed AOC as their mouthpiece, they had no idea how embarrassing it would turn out. Now they have to get through another election cycle. Only, this time will be much harder with AOC’s blunders on display.
Undoubtedly, Valdes will be easy to find. And you can bet he will have a team ready to go door to door to remind people of AOC’s record. Like her chasing away 25,000 high-paying jobs that Amazon wanted to create in her district.
And what about that $10 trillion green new deal? Think New Yorkers will want to add this to their growing list of taxes?
