Donald Trump has been president for three years and he hasn’t even cured cancer. But cancer doesn’t stand a chance if Biden gets elected.
According to The Hill, The man tasked by baby black Jesus to cure cancer as a VP promises to cure the dreaded disease should American put him in the White House.
2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden said Tuesday that his administration would focus on curing cancer should he win office next year.
“I’ve worked so hard in my career that I promise you, if I’m elected president, you’re going to see the single most important thing that changes America: We’re going to cure cancer,” Biden said to applause Tuesday at a campaign event in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Curing the disease has become a primary focus for Biden since his son, Beau Biden, died in 2015 of an aggressive form of brain cancer. He oversaw the “Cancer Moonshot” during his time as vice president in the Obama administration.
The initiative’s stated goal was “To make a decade’s worth of advances in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, in five years.”
After leaving office, Biden oversaw the Biden Cancer Initiative to “develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research, and care, and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes.”
He stepped down from the organization shortly after announcing his White House bid.
Biden slammed President Trump in April over the issue, accusing the current administration of not prioritizing fighting cancer.
“What happened was we did a lot of good work, with your help, on the Moonshot,” Biden said during a speech in Washington. “And when we left, I went to this administration and said, ‘You can do a lot. Move.’ But it wasn’t their priority at the time.”
I’m surprised Democrats haven’t IMPEACHED Trump for not curing cancer. Or perhaps America should prepare itself to learn that Trump colluded with the Russians to not cure cancer.
What has that Trump been up to over the past three years?
Did SCOTUS make the right decision on medical mandates for large businesses?
While fighting against an attempted coup, Donald Trump destroyed the Obamacare legacy, offering millions of Americans real medical care. Then he addressed the opioid crisis and lowered the prices of prescription drugs.
Next, Trump targeted Medicare abuse.
From the American Bar Association:
With the Trump administration, however, healthcare fraud enforcement remains a top priority carried over from the prior administration. Confirmation of this came early on with President Trump proposing approximately $751 million in funding to the Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control program for fiscal year 2018 – an increase of approximately $70 million from the fiscal year 2017 budget – despite his budget proposal’s significant cuts to related departments and agencies.
In July 2017, the government announced the largest healthcare fraud takedown (the 2017 Takedown) in U.S. history.2 The 2017 Takedown spanned 41 districts, involved $1.3 billion in false billings, and resulted in charges against 412 defendants, including doctors, nurses, and other licensed professionals.3 The number of individuals charged in the 2017 Takedown represented an “89% increase from the 2016” healthcare fraud takedown.4 Further, in fiscal year 2017, the Department of Justice (DOJ) opened 967 new criminal healthcare fraud investigations and charged defendants in 439 cases.5 The DOJ also opened 948 civil investigations and had 1,086 civil healthcare fraud cases pending as of the end of fiscal year 2017.6 As a result of these efforts, the government obtained over $2.4 billion in settlements and judgments related to healthcare fraud.7
Year One of the Trump presidency accounted for more than $1.3 billion. But how does that compare to the problem at large, moreover Obama’s results?
According to this story by CNBC, Obama failed miserably:
The federal budget for the health care entitlements is more than $900 billion this year. There’s nothing like that kind of money to bring out the fraudsters. And sweeping anti-fraud provisions in the Affordable Care Act can only do so much to slow them down.
Even before the law was passed in 2010, the Obama administration began cracking down on health care fraud with a series of strike forces set up across the country.
Since the federal crackdown began in 2009, authorities have charged more than 2,500 defendants, recovering $1.9 billion in fraudulent payments last year alone, according to a joint report by the U.S. Justice and Health and Human Services departments.
While $1.9 billion may sound impressive, the Office of Management and Budget estimates Medicare and Medicaid related programs made nearly $89 billion in improper payments last year, largely due to fraud.
The Affordable Care Act includes much tougher sentences for health care fraud, and enhanced screening for doctors and other providers who bill the government programs. It authorizes new technology to help investigators detect fraud, and $350 million in new funding for anti-fraud efforts over the next ten years. Officials say every dollar spent on enforcement yields $6 returned to the taxpayers.
So after 8 years, Obama found under $2 billion in fraud in Medicare. But how much fraud is there in the program?
This ABC report estimates $60 billion of fraud annually.
The report says that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that administers Medicare, estimates that last year some $60 billion of American taxpayer money, or more than 10 percent of Medicare’s total budget, was lost to fraud, waste, abuse and improper payments.
“This is money that costs the Medicare trust fund real money,” Sen. Tom Carper, D-Delaware, who requested GAO look into the issue, told ABC News. “We pay into the Medicare trust fund. Those of us who are working, our employers pay into the Medicare trust fund.”
The GAO investigation, obtained by ABC News, follows three previous reports by the agency revealing “a persistent weakness … that increased the risk of enrolling entities intent on defrauding the Medicare program.”
Here’s the math.
$60 billion of fraud annually, and all Obama had addressed in his eight years was less than $2 billion? Put another way, Obama found $2 billion in fraud of almost half a TRILLION in fraud. Those are the results of Barney Fife or Deputy Dog, not somebody serious about cracking down on misuse of taxpayer funds.
And Obama wasn’t preoccupied with fighting against a weaponized FBI, CIA, NSA, DNC, media and other Leftists determined to get him out of office.
Where has Biden been?
Don’t know, don’t care. Biden is more useless than a pocket on the back of a shirt. And if he believes he can sell the idea of “curing cancer” to get elected, he’s dreaming.
