Finally. Republicans say what most of America figured out a long time ago: Barack Obama knew the FBI targeted Trump.
I’ve said it for quite some time. For me, confirmation came with the Strzok/Page texts. They pretty much verified that Obama wanted to be kept abreast of the situation.
Depending on how things shake out, one or more of these co-conspirators will spill the beans on Obama.
Interestingly, a relatively high-level politico now speaks publicly about Obama’s knowledge.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said there is no way former President Obama did not know people in his administration were investigating and taking actions against then-candidate Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

“You want to suggest to me that the attorney general has a private meeting with former President (Bill) Clinton on an airplane in Phoenix for, I think, 45 minutes and the current sitting president, Barack Obama, doesn’t know about it?”
“Barack Obama is a really smart guy,” Gingrich said. “He was also sort of a control freak. Do you think the FBI said ‘oh, we’re going to go get a FISA warrant, a foreign intelligence warrant, in order to investigate an American presidential campaign,’ and nobody thought to mention it to the incumbent president?”
President Trump believes Obama knew as well.

Powerful words, particularly coming from Donald Trump. As we’ve learned over the past three years, Trump predicts the future pretty well.

Stephanopoulos pressed Trump to clarify why he kept bringing up the Mueller report in unprovoked portions of the interview:
“You clearly believe that there was a group of people working against you. Do you think President Obama was behind it?” he asked.
“Uh, I would say that he certainly must have known about it. Because it went very high up in the chain,” Trump said. “But you’re going to find that out, I’m not going to make that statement quite yet, but I would say that President Obama had to know about it.”
Bet that President Trump didn’t say those words lightly.
I speculated on my radio show that Trump now baits Democrats to impeach him. And if they do, he will bring down a wrath that will make God’s wrath on Egypt during the exodus look like child’s play.
