Are Democrats Done with AOC Already?

A controversial politician like AOC expects to be challenged every election cycle. But usually, those challenges come from outside the party.

So what does it mean if fellow Democrats want to face-off against AOC in 2020?

Could this be the signal that AOC is finished? Or is this just a lonesome disgruntled democrat?

As Fox News explains:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., will have to get through a primary challenger if she wants to hold on to her seat in 2020.

Democratic activist Badrun Khan, who has challenged Ocasio-Cortez for the Democratic nomination to represent New York’s 14th district.  says on her website that she’ll provide “REAL Results… Not Empty Promises” — an apparent jab at the socialist darling.

When asked about Khan’s challenge, Ocasio-Cortez said: “I just focus on delivering for my district and doing the best job. I try not to focus too much on other folks in the field,” according to The Hill.

Khan filed her statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Committee in July. The website for New York City’s government confirms that Khan serves on Queens Community Board 2.

Obviously, AOC’s days are numbered.

Since being sworn into office, she’s managed to make headlines week after week, and never for anything brilliant.

Let’s see, there was the whole hoop earrings and red lipstick fiasco, followed by the Green New Deal, on top of the fake photo op, coupled with thousands of dumb remarks that must embarrass even her most supportive colleagues. That doesn’t even include her place on “the squad.” So it’s no wonder democrats don’t mind giving AOC the boot.

It’s not a question of IF AOC will be voted out. It’s only a question of WHO will take her place.

Is Khan a serious contender?

It’s not certain just how serious Khan is about running. Perhaps she’s putting out feelers at this point.

Fox continues:

Khan’s website doesn’t appear to have an official announcement and she did not respond to Fox News’ request for comment by the time of publication. Instead, her website detailed her background as a community activist and daughter of Bengali immigrants.

“Badrun has worked towards political and social empowerment for her community,” her website read. “Her service has gone well beyond the Bengali community. She is an active presence in schools and service to all the residents in her Queens community. She has volunteered and served with honor as a member of Community Board 2. Badrun continues to works diligently each day to help her community and the people of Queens.”

Khan’s website says she wants to enhance Medicare and Social Security but appeared to take a shot at “Medicare-for-all,” a plan championed by progressives like Ocasio-Cortez.

“She will fight to make sure Health Care is made available for all and that those who have existing coverage can choose to keep what they currently have,” the site said, apparently referring to concerns that “Medicare-for-all” would take away private insurance.

But I’m not really interested in Khan.

My money’s on the bright businesswoman, Scherie Murray.

Her plan to unseat AOC looks most promising!

Murray’s only fault is that she believed in Baby Black Jesus. Obviously, she’s not the only one who fell for his inflated orations. But she’s repented for her sins. And make no mistake- Murray will have AOC sweating for sure. She’s a smart, black woman. Further, Murray knows the Green New Deal is bogus and cow farts aren’t destroying the Earth. Considering AOC won’t be able to use her race card or her lady card, she’ll find herself in hot water. And I don’t think the hoop earrings will do much to save AOC in 2020.
