Trump wins Pelosi loses. That’s the net of the impeachment standoff.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi proved to be a toothless tiger, caving on her demands of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

WASHINGTON — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday she will direct the House to send articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump to the Senate next week.
“I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate,” Pelosi wrote to House colleagues.
Pelosi, D-Calif., faced mounting pressure not only from Republicans, but increasingly from fellow Democrats, to deliver the articles, which would then permit the Senate to begin preparations for a trial.
Before the articles can be delivered, however, the House still needs to vote to name impeachment managers, or House members who will essentially act as prosecutors in a Senate trial of the president.
The world laughs at Pelosi.
Forced to impeach President Trump as a show of power to her base, Pelosi engineered the biggest political blunder since the attempted coup of Trump.
Not only did she get nothing she demanded, McConnell gets the opportunity to drive home the ridiculousness of the impeachment as well.
But Democrats have plenty of farces. Like the War Powers Act.
After President Trump bombed and killed General Qassem Soleimani, Democrats decided to try to strip him of this right to protect American citizens. Pelosi led the cause, though she had no problem allowing Obama to kill Osama bin Laden.
The move was purely symbolic for a few reasons, yet Pelosi voted on it. In fact, she now says, despite the delays, Trump is “impeached for life.” Yet, it’s nearly four weeks after the House voted to impeach. Still, nothing has been sent up to McConnell’s desk.
How can one be impeached for life when they have yet to be impeached at all? But that’s the democrat logic for you.
But make no mistake about it, this impeachment farce will achieve the opposite of the left’s goal. It will drive Trump to four more years.
Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell promises the Senate won’t be sucked into this madness.

It all comes down to this. While Pelosi was busy trying to control the Senate, and write their process, her power-hungry antics backfired. Now, she’s forced to turn over the articles of impeachment, even though they lack substance.
Now the Senate will finally be able to do their job, and dismiss this ridiculousness. Of course, the moment they do, I fully expect Pelosi to mouth off a few more articles of impeachment. She’s too dumb to let sleeping dogs lie. Pelosi will definitely try this fiasco again. But, she will soon see the second verse is same as the first.
