Democrats’ Dilemma: Biden Can’t Outrun His Past

I read an article about why Elizabeth “Fauxchahontas” Warren lost. There are many reasons, like her hatred of men, for example. But what really got Warren were her lies.

As Mike Huckabee wrote:

America’s most famous fake Indian is surely shedding a tear or two – and no, I’m not talking about Iron Eyes Cody, the Italian-American actor who became famous as the “Crying Indian” in a series of public service announcements in the 1970s and portrayed Native Americans in films.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. – who, much like Cody, built a career out of pretending to be a Native American – officially ended her presidential campaign Thursday.

Considered a major contender for the Democratic nomination for president only a few months ago, on Super Tuesday Warren endured the biggest rout on American soil since the Little Bighorn. The former media-anointed front-runner failed to win a single primary contest on Tuesday and failed to break into the top three in more than half of the 14 states that voted that day.

Democrats, take heed. Biden will suffer the same fate.

Biden remains untested.

Not long ago, Biden was finished in this campaign. But because his competitors performed pitifully, they gave Biden’s team chance after chance to get parts from the scrap yard and put the Biden jalopy back on the road.

And the Democratic Party’s desperation showed when they plopped on retreaded tires and put Biden back in the race.

But this race is a Formula One race. And Biden’s competition races with the best race car ever invented: The TrumpCar.

Democrats don’t dare put the pedal to the metal and vet Biden. Because that engine has trouble reaching the speed limit.

Biden isn’t a race car; he’s an old nag. A broke-back horse waiting to go out to pasture. And President Trump will soon make glue of Creepy Old Joe.

Because like Warren, Joe Biden is a serial liar.

Biden lies for no reason. He does it because he’s gotten away with it.

In the old days, Biden lied a few times during an election season. Today however, Biden lies all the time. He’s demented enough to (1) Believe his own lies; and (2) To think others will believe them as well.

His most recent backtrack involves his attempt to placate the “silly Negro vote” of South Carolina. Biden told black voters at an event in South Carolina that he had been arrested in Soweto.

“This day, 30 years ago, Nelson Mandela walked out of prison and entered into discussions about apartheid.”

“I had the great honor of meeting him. I had the great honor of being arrested with our UN ambassador on the streets of Soweto trying to get to see him on Robben Island.”

Biden later admitted he lied about this. Biden wasn’t arrested, and this was easy to refute. So why say it?

Even the Washington Post noted Biden’s love of the lie. They show Biden’s shifting story about pinning a medal on a soldier.

WaPo wrote:

Joe Biden painted a vivid scene for the 400 people packed into a college meeting hall. A four-star general had asked the then-vice president to travel to Konar province in Afghanistan, a dangerous foray into “godforsaken country” to recognize the remarkable heroism of a Navy captain.

Some told him it was too risky, but Biden said he brushed off their concerns.

“We can lose a vice president,” he said. “We can’t lose many more of these kids. Not a joke.”

There it was. Biden’s self-deprecating style. His willingness to sacrifice himself. Why?

Because that lowly soldier means more than a VP! And then Biden seals the deal with his next comment:

“This is the God’s truth,” Biden had said as he told the story. “My word as a Biden.”

But as WaPo pointed out:

Except almost every detail in the story appears to be incorrect. Based on interviews with more than a dozen U.S. troops, their commanders and Biden campaign officials, it appears as though the former vice president has jumbled elements of at least three actual events into one story of bravery, compassion and regret that never happened.

Biden visited Konar province in 2008 as a U.S. senator, not as vice president. The service member who performed the celebrated rescue that Biden described was a 20-year-old Army specialist, not a much older Navy captain. And that soldier, Kyle J. White, never had a Silver Star, or any other medal, pinned on him by Biden. At a White House ceremony six years after Biden’s visit, White stood at attention as President Barack Obama placed a Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest award for valor, around his neck.

The upshot: In the space of three minutes, Biden got the time period, the location, the heroic act, the type of medal, the military branch and the rank of the recipient wrong, as well as his own role in the ceremony.

Another of Biden’s many lies. And how Democrat candidates allowed Biden to get away with this is beyond me. They, their strategists, their minions, and the media ignored Biden’s obvious lies and other massive flaws.

Now they must reap what they sowed.
