Obama Administration Corruption: Bigger Than Watergate

America will soon learn the entirety of the story behind the FBI framing General Mike Flynn. And that story will blow the minds of the Leftists who fervently supported Barack Obama.

The Flynn case exposes the man who proudly declared he presided over a “scandal-free” administration. And as I say to my radio audience often, Democrats tell you who they are by what they (1) call you, or (2) say they are.

Let’s take Door #2: Obama’s declaration of being scandal-free amounted to him admitting exactly the opposite.

Forget Fast and Furious, the IRS scandal, Benghazi, shipping billions to Iran in the middle of the night, and Watergate. Because the targeting of Donald J. Trump beats them all.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy spoke on the newly released files revealing FBI agents discussed their motives for interviewing former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. He declared the scandal, “bigger than Watergate”.

“What you’ve talked about with Flynn and with the president is bigger than Watergate, and people need to be held accountable,” the California Republican told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

File this under, “Tell us what we already knew”.

In the very beginning of the Trump administration, we learned through Admiral Mike Rogers that Trump was targeted. And we immediately knew the origin of the scandal. Move over, Richard Nixon. I give you Barack Obama.

Here’s what was written about “Spygate” back in 2018:

Spygate is a bigger scandal than Watergate. But the liberal mainstream media — acting as the propaganda arm of the Deep State — are trying to cover it up.

Consider the implications of the FBI planting a spy in the campaign of one candidate while violating both the law and the fundamentals of investigation to protect the other candidate from facing the consequences of her crimes. And remember that the text messages between FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress, DOJ lawyer, Lisa Page, mentioned both a “secret society” within the FBI and DOJ (including then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe) and an “insurance policy” in the event Trump won.

It now seems clear that — along with the false “Russia collusion” narrative — part of that “insurance policy” was an FBI spy in the Trump campaign.

Even back in 2018 it was clear this “investigation” by Mueller was a sham. 40 million dollars spent to frame Donald Trump.

We certainly know where it sort of ended. I write “sort of”, because the new developments with Flynn will certainly cause us to revisit this original farce.

The article on Spygate continues:

Furthermore, when the House Intelligence Committee’s investigators managed to uncover the spy — later revealed to be University of Cambridge professor Stefan Halper — the DOJ initially refused to comply with a congressional subpoena for more information. In fact, Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) — finally fed up with being “stalled” and “stonewalled” by the FBI and DOJ — had to threaten Attorney General Jeff Sessions with charges of contempt of Congress before the DOJ caved and briefed the committee on Halper.

Going back a little further, the FBI and DOJ — while protecting Hillary Clinton from being charged for her illegal use of a private e-mail server to send and receive thousands of classified documents — abused the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) process to illegally obtain a surveillance warrant on Trump campaign associate Carter Page. That warrant’s application was based on the now-discredited Trump “dossier” written by ex-MI6 agent Christopher Steele and illegally financed by the DNC and Clinton Campaign (and based on information provided by Russian government sources).

Whatever one’s opinion of President Trump, he is right about this. Spygate could be one of the biggest political scandals in history. It is certainly bigger than Watergate. While Watergate will likely continue to be the scandal by which all other scandals are measured (old habits die hard), the reality is that taken all together, Spygate makes Watergate look mild by comparison.

That story was two years into what became known as Spygate. We are now 4 years into the scandal we were never to know anything about.

The newly released documents showed that top bureau officials questioned their goal. Instead of seeking real answers, the FBI documents shows that the FBI agents wanted to know their marching orders. Should the “goal” of interviewing Flynn in 2017 be “to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?”

According to Fox News, the notes were handwritten by the FBI’s former head of counterintelligence, Bill Priestap. The notes were taken after Priestap met with then-FBI Director James Comey and then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Clearly the Obama administration elites work behind the scenes to determine what rats must sink with the ship. But if you believe Comey gave the order for the “code red”, you are sadly mistaken.

An order like this must come from the top.

Comey the Clown doesn’t have the balls to start a scandal of this magnitude. And Comey would need a lot more help.

Enter John Brennan, former head of Obama’s CIA, and James Clapper, Obama’s Director of National Intelligence.

When you add all these spy agencies together, you are forced to look above their pay grades. And Clapper already spilled the beans Oct 2019:

Partial transcript:

SCIUTTO: As you know, the president now has sitting members of this government. You have the attorney general traveling the world now, meeting with U.S. intelligence partners, trying to find out, in his view, whether they participated in some sort of Obama administration-led effort to undermine President Trump in the last election here. You also know that John Durham, who is a former prosecutor, senior Justice Department official, he’s pursuing his own investigation on the origins of that probe. Are you concerned that Barr’s or Durham’s investigation will find wrongdoing and seek to punish former intelligence officials?

CLAPPER: Well, I don’t know, I don’t think there was any wrongdoing. I think at the time all of us were trying to navigate a very, very difficult, politically fraught, highly-charged situation. I know for my part, my main concern was, were the Russians, and the threat posed by the Russians to our very political fabric.

…the message I’m getting from all this is, apparently what we were supposed to have done was to ignore the Russian interference, ignore the Russian meddling and the threat that it poses to us, and oh by the way, blowing off what the then-commander-in-chief, President Obama, told us to do, which was to assemble all the reporting that we could, that we had available to us and put it in one report that the president could pass on to the Congress and to the next administration.

And, while we’re at it, declassify as much as we possibly could to make it public…that’s what we did. And it’s kind of disconcerting now to be investigated for having done our duty and done what we were told to do by the president.

Snopes and others tried to discredit this interview as “false”. However, look at the transcript and ask yourself if Clapper isn’t looking for his “get out jail free” card.

Leading up to Oct 2019, Clapper and other swamp rats hoped beyond hope that Trump would be gone. Both he and John Brennan popped off at the mouth publicly, trying to sway public opinion against Trump.

However, once John Durham replaced John Huber, an Obama appointee, Clapper and team realized the coup had officially failed.

How would you interpret, “it’s kind of disconcerting now to be investigated for having done our duty and done what we were told to do by the president.”

Brennan and Clapper did more than “assemble all the reporting that we could…for the next administration”. He and the rest of the DOJ tried a coup, and it failed.

This statement by Clapper cannot be walked back. And Durham’s team will easily prove that Obama’s DOJ had one intention: to get rid of Trump.

Indeed, Spygate will be the new standard by which we measure. And let’s hope America never faces anything like this again.
