Wouldn’t it be funny if crooked Comey’s FBI presented evidence against itself?
This may very well be the case, as we learn the organization hid documents from President Trump’s team after the former director was fired.
According to the Washington Examiner, the FBI covered its ass with bogus documents:
FBI officials took pains to hide three copies of “key” documents in the days after President Trump fired Director James Comey, according to a forthcoming book.
CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin wrote about how Andrew McCabe, who had suddenly been thrust into the acting director role in May 2017, went about opening a criminal case into Trump for potential obstruction of justice.
“Given the wild pace of events, McCabe couldn’t be sure how long he’d last as director, so he wanted to lock down as much evidence as possible,” Toobin wrote in an excerpt of True Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Investigation of Donald Trump that was published by CNN on Thursday.
“Most important, he told the investigating agents to place Comey’s memos in SENTINEL, the FBI’s case management software,” Toobin wrote. “McCabe knew that once documents were inside the system, they were virtually impossible to remove. With Comey’s memos in the system, the investigators were certain to have access to them — even if McCabe himself would eventually be gone.”
Hiding documents? Such is the definition of Obama’s “peaceful transition of power”. But let’s look at the excuses of one of the conspirators.
McCabe blamed the attempt to overthrow Trump on stress.
“I can’t describe to you accurately enough the pressure and the chaos that Rod and I were trying to operate under at that time,” McCabe told CBS’s Scott Pelley.
“It was incredibly turbulent, incredibly stressful. And it was clear to me that that stress was … Was impacting the deputy attorney general. We talked about why the president had insisted on firing the director and whether or not he was thinking about the Russia investigation, and did that impact his decision.”
What stressed him out is trying to cover up all the lies. And McCabe feared the investigation being shut down. So what the ‘investigations’ never should have occurred in the first place.
And that’s why the FBI covered their asses by hiding three sets of documents and covering for crooked Comey. The logic? Perhaps, “Let’s protect ourselves from Trump, by saving our fake documents all over DC.”
The actions of the FBI remind us of Nixon keeping his Watergate tapes. Actually, a closer parallel might be the FBI acted like serial killers compelled to keep their trophies.
Sometimes when I think about the Obama administration, I think of the film, The Firm. The scene where Mitch McDeere (played by Tom Cruise) visits his brother Ray in prison fits Obama’s administration.
In the scene, Mitch McDeere (played by Tom Cruise) visits his older brother Ray in prison. After some small talk, Mitch says to Ray, “Wouldn’t it be funny if you went to prison and I went to Harvard, but we both end up surrounded by crooks.”
Obama presented his administration as wholesome. Representing the little guy. But like in The Firm, Obama represented the mob.
We now have access to the documents. And DC shudders with what comes next thanks to John Durham. Therefore, in the darkness of night when the world gets quiet, one can hear the scurrying of rats. Swamp rats scrambling for footholds as the swamp drains.
Understand that many of these DC swamp rats will soon simply die in the mud. Because there is no amount of help that will save them from their tortuous demise.
