It’s scary to believe that Leftist Marie Harf at one point worked for the CIA. Sadly, she is less competent as a political pundit.
As a member of the four-woman group on Fox News show Outnumbered, Harf showcased her abject stupidity.
The discussion began with co-host Dagen McDowell. She started with the level of violence in Democrat-run cities. McDowell listed shootings in Chicago as the panel discussed Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s decision to accept federal assistance in bringing order to chaotic parts of the city. This represented a reversal of her earlier position.
McDowell asked,
“What if it works in Chicago? What if the police in that city can stop the daily murders?” McDowell said before ticking off a list of shootings and killings in just the past few days.
“What if this partnership actually works?”
McDowell added, decrying the use by some so-called “peaceful protesters” who “carry Molotov cocktails, metal pipes and hammers — is that where we are in this nation?”
Faulkner wants Harf to respond to comments that Leftist mayors and governors don’t seem to care about their citizens:

Harf: To accuse all these mayors or governors of not caring about their citizens is really unfair. These are tough situations, a large majority of people on the streets by the way are peaceful. Molotov cocktail throwing rioters are not peaceful and they should be dealt with by law enforcement. The challenge is always trying to figure out the right law enforcement way of doing that.
President Trump has made very clear, that he’s going after Democratic-led cities, he’s said that just plain straight out. So it seems to many people like this is a political strategy to show himself as a law and order president ahead of a tough election, that he is couching in law enforcement activity…feels like he’s making a law enforcement activity a political issue, which we should not be doing in this country.
Faulkner: Marie is there another Republican-led city that is having the kinds of problems that we’re seeing in a Democratic-led city.
Harf: Democrats have been in charge of the large cities in our country
Faulkner: {interrupts} It’s a yes or no question.
Lack of Intelligence
Seriously, who does the hiring for the CIA? This woman lacks the brain power such a job requires. Yet, she worked as an analyst at CIA’s Directorate of Intelligence. While she worked there she was to focus on Middle Eastern leadership issues. Likely due to her incompetence, Harf was removed from actual duty and made media spokesperson of the CIA.
After leaving the CIA as a spokesperson, Harf is said to have helped craft Obama’s national security and communication strategy during the 2012 presidential election. That certainly answers questions as to why Obama’s national security policy was so flawed.
As one publication wrote of one of Harf’s asinine comments:
The American commentator attracted a lot of negative heat because of an interview she gave on Hardball with Chris Matthews on February 16, 2015, following the release of a video from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) which showed the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians in Libya.
The response to questioning from Matthews on the U.S.’s strategy towards ISIS for which Harf said,
“We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need in the medium to longer term to go after the root causes that lead people to join these groups, whether it’s a lack of opportunity for jobs, whether …”
Her critics ridiculed her on social media with the hashtag “#JobsForISIS”, which turned into a top-10 trending topic on U.S. Twitter.
Having had multiple run-ins with Harf when I appeared on Outnumbered, I can attest to her stupidity. I presumed Fox News kept her around for comedy.
