Americans recognize the Democrats’ strategy for Joe Biden: keep him in the basement.
But some Democrats question this strategy.
According to The Hill, many Democrats wonder if Biden’s lack of travel gives the wrong signal:
When former President Obama delivered his convention speech from Philadelphia last week, it raised some questions for Democrats about Joe Biden’s lack of a travel schedule.
Biden has been effectively sidelined because of the coronavirus pandemic, keeping his public appearances largely confined to his hometown of Wilmington, Del., where he also ended up accepting his party’s nomination last week.
“I think a lot of people thought, ‘If Obama can get on a plane and travel, why can’t Biden?’” said one Democratic strategist, who pointed to the former president’s trip from Massachusetts to Philadelphia for his prime-time address.
“I know we all believe in science and building a contrast with Republicans on COVID, I get that. But no one I know is stuck at home. Folks are moving around. They’re traveling. Some schools are reopening,” the strategist said.
“I don’t know how sustainable this is for Biden.”
Biden’s lack of travel is not a sustainable campaign strategy and Democrats know this. The strategy fails for many reasons.
For example, not traveling makes Biden appear weak. Too frail to leave his home. When you consider the man’s dementia, lack of travel glaringly reinforces this point.
Next, lack of travel makes Biden appear scared of a virus. Since when do leaders fear such nonsense? Presidents reassure their constituents that they can handle things. Biden looks like an old man afraid of his shadow.
As noted by the Democrat strategist, Obama traveled for his address at the Democrats’ convention. But Biden gave his speech from a school library?
And what of President Trump?
Trump is the anti-Biden. The man travels all across the nation with no fear. and for the most part sans mask. Clearly Trump is not afraid of the virus or meeting the American people on their turf.
The article continues,
Democratic strategist Christy Setzer agreed that Biden should hit the trail with a little more than two months to go until Election Day.
“He can and he should,” Setzer said. “Not just to meet actual voters and hear their concerns face to face, but to generate local media attention.”
Undoubtedly Democrats want to limit Biden’s exposure. And rightfully so. The man is gaffe prone, as he’s gone from “might” say something controversial, to “will” say something controversial.
On my earlier point about Trump, The Hill writes:
Some Democrats say they’re increasingly nervous watching Trump on the go. Last week, in an effort to counter the Democratic National Convention, the president traveled to Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — the state where Democrats had planned to have their convention. All three states are considered swing states in the presidential race.
Trump has been on the attack over the issue. His campaign has put up billboards around Wisconsin asking “Where’s Joe?” The Trump campaign also deployed Vice President Pence to the state hoping to narrow Biden’s lead.
“Biden and the Democrats have greatly disrespected the Great State of Wisconsin by not even paying a small visit to Milwaukee, the designated site of the DNC,” the president wrote on Twitter. “The State & City worked very hard to make sure things would be good. Not nice.”
Content with this strategy, Biden said to ABC’s David Muir,
“We’re going to follow the science, what the scientists tell us.”
Biden was asked if he and his running mate can win the race from home. He replied: “We will.”
Democrats are not convinced, as one top Democratic fundraiser said that’s the wrong strategy.
“I hate it,” the fundraiser said. “Why can’t he go visit a factory in Wisconsin? Why can’t he go to Minnesota for a few hours?”
Biden does make exceptions where he believes he can stoke racism.
Biden did make an exception to his no-travel rule when he flew to Texas to visit with the family of George Floyd, a Black man whose killing by police triggered mass demonstrations this summer. He also went to Philadelphia to deliver a speech on race, on the heels of racial inequality demonstrations around the country.
But this won’t work. And neither will this next strategy the article reveals.
At the same time, Democratic strategist Joel Payne said that Biden can limit travel for the time being because of their advantages in the race so far — coupled with the fact that they have run on Trump’s mishandling of the pandemic.
Democrats have many reasons to panic. Don Lemon discussed how the public recognizes the ruse.

Lemon suggested that Biden plagiarize Obama:
Lemon went on to urge Biden to give a speech similar to the one Barack Obama delivered in 2015 following the death of Freddie Gray, in which the former president condemned the rioting in Baltimore.
“He’s got to come out and tell people that he is going to deal with the issue of police reform in this country, and that what’s happening now is happening on Donald Trump’s watch, and when he is the president, Kamala Harris is the vice president, then they will take care of this problem. But guess what, the rioting has to stop,” Lemon stated. “Chris, as you know and I know, it’s showing up in the polls, it’s showing up in focus groups. It’s the only thing right now that’s sticking.”
What Lemon and the Democrat strategists know is Biden has no shot. I’m more convinced of this, than I was when I said Hillary Clinton would get her big ass kicked.
For the record, even if Biden traveled Trump would crush Captain Demento. But it’s fun watching Biden hide, as Democrats fear his next racist utterance. Biden’s better in the basement, and liberals know it.
