The body count attributed to Democrats keeps rising. It’s no wonder the government is ready to officially label Antifa correctly.
For all the rhetoric claiming Donald Trump supporters exhibit violent tendencies, we keep seeing the real violence bursting forth from the left. In fact, for the past four years, Democrats have attacked America from the inside out.
At Donald Trump’s inauguration parade, a limo was set on fire. But that was only the beginning.
Violence erupted across DC because Antifa wanted to make a statement. Buildings were set on fire, windows were smashed. The statement was clear. We were no longer dealing with protesters. Instead, these rioters are nothing more than domestic terrorists. More than 200 people were arrested during the inauguration alone.
It seems attacks from the left unfold on a daily basis. Remember when they tried to kill Steve Scalise at the Congressional baseball practice?
Or what about the shooting in Dayton that left more than thirty people dead? That guy was straight up Antifa. And yet we continually hear that the Right Wing is the danger zone because we support the Second Amendment. Once again the rhetoric doesn’t match reality.
Latest Leftist Assault
Saturday, shots fired out at the Pro-Trump caravan turned deadly. And the shooter, once again, a BLM / Antifa supporter. What’s worse? He was previously arrested for his extreme behavior just weeks ago. But, Michael Forest Reinoehl subsequently shot down Aaron Danielson, known as Jay, in cold blood. Because Danielson supported his president.
According to the Oregonian:
A 48-year-old man who was accused of carrying a loaded gun at an earlier downtown Portland protest is under investigation in the fatal shooting Saturday night of a right-wing demonstrator after a pro-Trump rally.
Michael Forest Reinoehl calls himself an anti-fascist and has posted videos and photos of demonstrations he attended since late June, accompanied by the hashtags #blacklivesmatter, #anewnation and #breonnataylor.
Reinoehl’s posts indicate he attended many protests in Portland that began three months ago after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis under the knee of a police officer.
On July 5 at one of the demonstrations, Reinoehl was cited at 2:10 a.m. in the 700 block of Southwest Main Street on allegations of possessing a loaded gun in a public place, resisting arrest and interfering with police.
He was given a date to appear in court later that month, but the allegations were dropped on July 30 with a “no complaint,” according to court records. The documents don’t indicate why prosecutors decided not to pursue the accusations. Reinoehl spent no time behind bars.
In other words, the left must own Danielson’s death for more than one reason. First, their policies created a maniac. And then their law enforcement let him back out on the streets. There was ample opportunity to stop this guy. But leftists prefer to wreak havoc on every community in this nation. All in the name of hating Donald Trump.
Let’s Just Call a Spade a Spade.
Donald Trump previously cited his intentions to relabel Antifa as a domestic terrorist group. In fact, one proposed law would bring focus to domestic counter-terrorism enforcement. Or, to be more clear, squashing the bad guys before they double down with their violent tendencies.
Leftists vehemently oppose this idea. They believe it gives the President too much power. But my question is this: too much power to do what, exactly? Protect America?
While liberals ignore our need for more safety and security, the Trump Administration continues to work towards peace in the streets.
We need more law enforcement, not less. And leftists need to stop justifying criminal acts committed in the name of “civil unrest” or “social justice.” Violence is not the path to change.
Instead, we should remember the words of the late, great Martin Luther King, Jr.
Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love… Our aim must never be to defeat or humiliate the white man, but to win his friendship and understanding.
The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy, instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
That’s exactly the kind of wisdom leftists must seek if they ever plan to reconcile with the United States. Otherwise, the great divide continues to weaken us as a whole.
