Apparently, John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, want to leave the country if Donald Trump wins again.
Where have we heard that before?
At this point, I wish we could force celebrities to honor their threats. Because we could weed out the Hollyweirdoes and make for a much nicer California.
In 2016, Lena Dunham and Snoop Dogg promised to move to Canada. Whoopi Goldberg said “maybe it’s time for me to move, you know,” on an episode of The View. Amy Schumer promised to move to Spain, while Samuel L. Jackson said his destination was Africa.
And let’s not forget Miley Cyrus. Before her tearful acceptance of the 2016 outcome, she made quite the stink on social media.
Cyrus was a Bernie Sanders supporter before backing Hillary Clinton once she became the Democratic Party nominee. In an Instagram post, The Voice judge proclaimed, “My heart is broken into a 100000 pieces…I am moving if [Donald Trump] is my president! I don’t say things I don’t mean!”
Cher promised to move to Jupiter and George Lopez said immigration wouldn’t be a problem, because they’d “all go back.”
Raven Symone, Neve Campbell, Jon Steward, Chelsea Handler and Barbara Streisand were also on the list of possible defectors.
Guess how many of them actually left?
Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!
Once again, leftists don’t mean what they say. And it’s too bad, because there’s not a celebrity on that list worth keeping around. I’m willing to bet that most of them secretly like Trump.
Why? Because Hollywood loves money. And Donald Trump is money. Not only was he extraordinarily wealthy before occupying the White House, but he made sure Americans had more wealth than ever before.
In fact, the median household income hit the highest level ever recorded before the scamdemic commenced.
So the only reason these Hollywood elites chastise Trump is that the anti-Trump rhetoric is ‘in style’ these days.
Enter John Legend
I’m not sure why Legend suddenly went public with his threat to leave the country. But I’m pretty sure he needed a little publicity. Especially after he and his wife were linked to Jeffrey Epstein. They’re desperate to save a little face. And opposing Trump typically does the trick for leftists.
In fact, Cosmopolitan magazine ran the story. According to the publication, Legend and his wife find Trump’s leadership style “embarrassing.” Personally, I find winning the opposite of embarrassing, but who am I to say?
Meanwhile, I hope Legend finds the magical anti-Trump palace he can relocate to. Surely, he’s not safe in America. Especially considering Legend’s support for BLM and defunding the police. According to Legend, America can’t bear “another four years” of Trump.

“I think his handling of the [COVID-19] pandemic has been embarrassing to the entire nation and has caused so much loss of life, that was preventable. I think people are just exhausted and ready for new leadership: sane leadership, empathetic leadership. Joe Biden can bring that to the country.”
Legend continued: “We can’t bear another four years of this. As Michelle Obama said, we have to vote like our lives depend on it. I honestly think the American people will do it. I truly don’t know if we would be a democracy when we were done if we went another four years.”
When asked if he and Teigen talk to their kids about the Black Lives Matter movement, Legend replied that the family will at some point have to engage in that conversation.
Perhaps they can talk about it on the plane as they head out of the country. Because four more years is a guarantee. In fact, Legend should take his disappointments and put ’em in a song. I’m sure someone will download it. At least then Legend could profit from his anti-Trump emptiness.
