As if the Democrats need any more bad news on the heels of their convention. Yet the hits just keep on coming. And this latest hit was a punch to the throat.
According to Breitbart,
Six Democrat Minnesota mayors endorsed President Donald Trump over former Vice President Joe Biden on Friday, asserting that Trump has improved the lives of Minnesotans, while Biden has moved too far to the left.
At a campaign rally for Trump’s reelection, Minnesota Iron Range mayors — Virginia Mayor Larry Cuffe, Chisholm Mayor John Champa, Ely Mayor Chuck Novak, Two Harbors Mayor Chris Swanson, Eveleth Mayor Robert Vlaisavljevich, and Babbitt Mayor Andrea Zupancich — endorsed Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for a second term in office.
And these are not the only high-profile Democrats who see the dim future for Democrats.
High-profile Democrats are abandoning the Democrats in droves. Leo Terrell, Vernon Jones, and soon to be many more.
The Minnesota Democrat mayors wrote:
Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades. We have watched as our constituents’ jobs left not only the Iron Range, but our country. By putting tariffs on our products and supporting bad trade deals, politicians like Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class. We lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range in order to provide for their families with good paying jobs elsewhere. Today, we don’t recognize the Democratic Party. It has been moved so far to the left it can no longer claim to be advocates of the working class. The hard-working Minnesotans that built their lives and supported their families here on the Range have been abandoned by radical Democrats. We didn’t choose to leave the Democratic Party, the party left us.
Leo Terrell said the same thing. And while that may be true, it implies that the values the Democrats left were never with Republicans.
Trump offers a big tent where the so-called former Democrat values fit. Democrats see this, but it is our job to drive this point home. The party of values has always been Republicans. The Republican Party’s problem is it has long been infected with RINOs.
Trump returned the real meaning of being Republican to the party. God, country, family.
The mayors lauded Trump for cutting taxes, and implementing policies that have brought the Iron Range “roaring back to life.”
“Lifelong politicians like Joe Biden are out of touch with the working class, out of touch with what the country needs, and out of touch with those of us here on the Iron Range and in small towns like ours across our nation,” they added.
In states suffering under dictatorial Leftist governors, you can expect more mayors to speak out.
In 2016 Hillary Clinton won Minnesota by a 1.5 percent margin. Her win represented the 11th consecutive time the Democrat candidate won the state, which hasn’t voted Republican since 1972 when Richard Nixon won.
The Clinton-Trump matchup was the closest presidential election in Minnesota since 1984, when Walter Mondale carried the state by a 0.2% margin, the only state not carried by Ronald Reagan.
But Trump got good news, as the state voted more Republican than the national average for the first time since 1952. Also, Trump flipped nineteen counties to Republican.
Finally, the state had the highest voter participation in the nation with 75 percent of people voting.
Trump will win Minnesota this year, breaking the 11 win streak by the Democrats. And thanks to the lunacy of the Left, Trump will pull through many down-ticket Republicans.
