Leftists want their president to be large and in charge. But, for all the roadblocks dished out at Trump, liberals should know it won’t be that easy.
Only, the roadblocks put in Biden’s path are to protect the United States. Because our new president certainly doesn’t prioritize our best interests.
However, the State of Texas is worried about the best interest of the American people. As the only state that retained it’s right to secede from the union, we definitely want to see an America first attitude permeate from the Oval Office.
As Fox News explains:
A federal judge on Tuesday temporarily blocked President Biden’s attempt to put a moratorium on deportations for 100 days.
After Texas sued over the policy, the judge blocked Biden, via a temporary restraining order, from moving forward for 14 days.
Texas’ lawsuit claims that the administration would be violating an agreement it has with the Department of Homeland Security – and would require at least 180 days’ notice, as well as consultation, prior to implementing changes in immigration policy. It is unclear whether those terms are enforceable, but similar agreements were struck with several other states under the former administration.
The U.S. district judge implemented a nationwide injunction because a geographically-limited order would not adequately protect Texas’ interests due to “the free flow of movement” of illegal aliens from other states.
Fox News exclusively reported over the weekend that an email sent last week to ICE officers called for stopping “all removals” and to “release them [undocumented immigrants] all, immediately.”
Biden has pledged to move forward with a moratorium on deportations as his administration resets its approach toward U.S. immigration following the change in administration.
What’s the End Game?
One has to wonder what the end game for this moratorium is? I predict its a simple matter of “undo what Trump did.”
Biden doesn’t care if these Trump policies bettered our nation. But leftists never do. I’m reminded of an article I wrote about four years ago, shortly after President Trump started shaking things up.
Leftists protesting Trump’s reduction of refugees in this country were quickly called out on their hypocrisy when none of them shared a willingness to house refugees. Of course these do-gooders didn’t want actual people in their own homes, or neighborhoods. Considering their personal attitudes, it’s hard to understand why they were opposed to Trump’s policies. At least the President had a legal path for foreigners to gain access to citizenship.
I recall the indignant expressions of leftists asked to house even one refugee. They balked at the idea- how would these people be vetted? Would they have criminal records? Or put their families in danger? All excellent concerns. These leftists actually mirrored the president. Yet, those realizations did little to change the liberal attitudes toward President Trump.
As we know, the next four years continued to showcase an ignorance beyond belief. And I’ve never figured out why common sense never made a come back. So, now we’re stuck with a President embracing the same exact ignorance.
There’s no reason for this moratorium. When someone is deported, they typically broke the law, took advantage of the system, or both. Rarely is some law-abiding, tax-paying, legal migrant booted out of here. But Biden wants to make a statement, and he wants to make it big.
Anything Trump did for us has got to go!
Biden’s mission is clear. If he’ll put us back in wars on foreign soil, he might as well attack us at home too. The question is, how long will we tolerate this attack? For now, all we can say is “see you in court.”
