KUDOS: Olympics Bans Black Lives Matter

I may have to watch the Olympics this year. I’ll explain why in just a bit. Perhaps the real question is, in today’s “woke” world, who should I cheer for?

The Japanese made a bold and very “unwoke” move. They are banning athletes from protesting. Understand that by athletes, they mean black American athletes and their “woke” white counterparts.

I don’t recall the last time I’ve seen a non-American athlete protest anything at a sporting event. That’s not to say it hasn’t happened; it’s just rare.

Usually athletes from other countries are too busy eking out a living. They don’t have time for spotted owl depletion and second-hand smoke. But a handful of spoiled Americans were likely waiting to get their protest on.

Not so fast. According to what I read, the Olympics will ban athlete protests, and could punish athletes who choose to protest anyway. Thus, raising a fist or kneeling during the national anthem, as many professional U.S. athletes have done over the past year, risks punishment.

Understand, I’m all for what Tommie Smith and John Carlos did in 1968. But the world was very different then. Democrats actually WERE oppressing blacks. But today, black athletes like Kaepernick are full of sh*t. And if they protest, they could be sent home and should be.

Worse for the “blacktivist,” the IOC bans ‘Black Lives Matter’ gear. And it is reported that the International Olympic Committee got very granular with what is not allowed. Like “Black Lives Matter.” The phrase is banned from athlete apparel at the Summer Olympics.

It looks like the Olympics understands the real trend of “wokeism.” It’s “dead man walking.”

The claim is that the IOC’s stance on “demonstration or political, religious or racial propaganda” has been consistent. These types of things are not allowed on the playing field, the medal stand, or during the Games’ official ceremonies.

However, more generic words like “peace,” “respect,” “solidarity,” “inclusion” and “equality” will be allowed on T-shirts.

Don’t believe the Leftist media who want you to believe that “woke” is in vogue. Because even the athletes don’t like this Kaepernick crap.

The IOC athletes’ commission cited support to uphold Rule 50 of the Olympic Charter. According to the report, more than two-thirds of about 3,500 replies from consulting athlete groups do not think it’s appropriate to demonstrate during competition. And 67% said it’s not appropriate either on the medal stand.

As for punishment of athletes who disregard Rule 50, their fate is pending. The IOC hasn’t commented on potential punishments. For now, they say they will deal with violations on a case-by-case basis. Athletes violating Rule 50 can be sanctioned by three bodies: the IOC, their sport’s governing body, and their national Olympic committee (NOC).

Any bets Americans will suffer the brunt of these punishments? You know there is some athlete champing at the bit to showcase their “wokeness”. Oh, and cash in on the bullsh*t that follows.
