New Proof Paints Cuomo into a Corner

It comes as no surprise to conservatives that CNN’s Chris Cuomo doubled as an inside adviser for his narcicissitic sibling, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, as the sexual misconduct scandal rolled out for all of America to consume.

Now, one CNN insider put the Cuomo’s on blast. And CNN can no longer deny the inappropriateness of this debacle. In fact, they’ve decided to admit the blunder.

Fox News writes:

As first reported by The Washington Post, CNN admitted on Thursday that its primetime host engaged in “inappropriate” strategy meetings with the embattled governor’s team earlier this year as he faced multiple accusations of sexual harassment and unwanted touching.

The CNN insider took aim at the anchor for allegedly invoking “cancel culture” while urging his brother to stay firm in combatting the misconduct claims.

“To say it’s ‘cancel culture’ –  it’s despicable,” the insider told Fox News.

The CNN insider slammed what was perceived as a double standard of the “Cuomo Prime Time” anchor to avoid covering his scandals in recent months after inviting the governor onto his show as a hero of the coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s the height of hypocrisy for Chris to have [his brother] on there for the good news but doesn’t have him on to discuss the bad news,” the insider said. “It’s laughable for him to be so judgmental of other people for their wrongdoings and he’s sitting there enabling and coming up with excuses for someone with sexual misconduct allegations.”

Recall when the governor was a vocal critic of Brett Kavanaugh? Demanding the honorable judge take a polygraph when that skank, Christine Blasey-Ford, leveled her false allegations against him?

But like they say, the proof is in the pudding!

Ford’s allegations were baseless, meritless. Yet, neither Cuomo offered up a polygraph to clear the governor. Perhaps because the allegations against him have an evidence trail a mile wide and fifty miles long. Still, the hypocrisy wreaks like rotten fish.

For CNN to admit the lunacy here is comical. Of course Cuomo’s roll in his brother’s administration is “inappropriate.” Clearly, there’s nothing wrong with serving as an adviser for a family member. But when you claim to report the news objectively, one must either sit out the “adviser” roll, or recuse himself from stories that pose a conflict of interest. Chris Cuomo chose neither of those options. Thus, his intentions were to twist the news to fit the narrative.

Fox continues:
The stunning Washington Post report revealed the CNN anchor joined conference calls with top aides to the embattled governor earlier this year as charges of harassment mounted and prompted calls from both sides of the aisle for his resignation. Sources told the paper the younger Cuomo urged his brother to not step down.

CNN acknowledged Chris Cuomo’s involvement but said he would not be disciplined for his conduct.

“Chris has not been involved in CNN’s extensive coverage of the allegations against Governor Cuomo – on air or behind the scenes. In part because, as he has said on his show, he could never be objective. But also because he often serves as a sounding board for his brother,” CNN said in a statement to Fox News. “However, it was inappropriate to engage in conversations that included members of the Governor’s staff, which Chris acknowledges. He will not participate in such conversations going forward.”

The behind-the-scenes strategy “cuts against the widely accepted norm in journalism that those reporting the news should not be involved in politics,” the Post reported.

Chalk it up to the leftist hypocrisy at play, again. Governor Cuomo didn’t just lean on his little brother for “moral support.” But he also passed out preferential treatment to family members, including Chris. The Cuomos secured early covid testing, when other New Yorkers were out of luck. Everyone else dealt with shortages while the family had whatever they needed. Even though we know the testing was unnecessary, that’s doesn’t bode well for the droves of citizens who toughed it out during the scamdemic.

CNN’s About Face

Ironically, when Cuomo was first hired by CNN in 2013, he was banned from covering his brother. That’s when the network still had a shred of integrity, albeit a small shred.

But, coronavirus led the network to lift that ban. And the fat cats sat back and let the brothers’ love fest literally pull their ratings out of the shitter. (Sorry Mom, but CNN doesn’t deserve a clean word like toilet.)

Seeing the network under fire is quite thrilling for me personally. Watching the brothers squirm is icing on the cake.
