What level of desperation must the Democrats feel as they watch hapless Joe Biden torpedo America.
So much so that Democrats appear to be reintroducing “Cankles Clinton” back onto the political scene. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. Unbelievably, there is active talk among Democrats about Hillary Clinton politically whacking Joey Demento.
Check out this discussion between Laura Ingraham and long-time Clinton acolyte Doug Schoen.
Ingraham says, “Maybe she is gearing up to take Biden out?…”
Schoen replies,
“Well, I think President Trump is ahead in the polls. I think his policies certainly look better now than the Biden policies. Even though I was not and am not a supporter of President Trump, policy is policy. And I think that a rematch between the two is more likely today than we would have ever imagined, even a couple months ago, and Secretary Clinton is really I think the only viable national candidate that we Democrats have as we face historic midterm defeats.”
Consider that Biden has been in office less than a year, and big name Democrats want him out. And they are so desperate that they are considering Hillary Clinton for another run.
Wasn’t one ass-kicking enough?
If Clinton runs, Trump will have won 3 elections in a row after he wins again in 2024. I will save that discussion is for another time. For now, let’s analyze what’s happening with the Democrats.
For example, Shoen and other Democrats (and anybody breathing) realize what carnage awaits Democrats in this year in the midterms. Most have resigned themselves to a beating that will make 2010 look like a sissy fight.
Next, Shoen admits indirectly that the Democrats have no bench. He says that Clinton is the “only viable national candidate”.
Perhaps most interesting to me is what does he think the public’s perception of Clinton and Democrats will be by then?
Schoen admits, “Even though I was not and am not a supporter of President Trump, policy is policy”. Translation: Trump performed.
While Schoen relishes the idea of Clinton running, The Boston Herald calls the idea of Hillary running again a “nightmare scenario.” Be sure to check back for my post on this idea.
What must Biden think?
Trick question. Because Biden is too demented to think. However for those pulling the puppets’ strings, they must see the writing on the wall.
If you haven’t figured out what I’m saying yet, let me spell it out: Biden-Harris will not represent Democrats in 2024.
Imagine a sitting “president” and his sidekick being completely tossed for their second term. Historical? Shades of Lyndon Johnson.
Entering the 1968 election campaign, initially no prominent Democratic candidate was prepared to run against a sitting president of the Democratic Party with the exception of Senator Eugene McCarthy of Minnesota. He challenged Johnson as an anti-war candidate in the New Hampshire primary. This move could be considered mostly symbolic as McCarthy hoped to pressure the Democrats to oppose the Vietnam War.
However, McCarthy won 42 percent of the primary vote to Johnson’s 49 percent; an amazingly strong showing for such a challenger. This moral victory may have prompted the move by Sen. Robert F. Kennedy of New York, who entered the race four days later.
Internal polling by Johnson’s campaign in Wisconsin, the next state to hold a primary election, showed Johnson trailing badly. For another similarity to Biden, understand that Johnson did not leave the White House to campaign.
Clearly by now, Johnson had lost control of the Democratic Party, as the party splintered into four factions.
The first faction consisted of Johnson (and Humphrey), labor unions, and local party bosses (led by Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley).
The second group consisted of students and intellectuals who were vociferously against the war and rallied behind McCarthy.
The third group were Catholics, Hispanics and blacks, who supported Bobby Kennedy.
Finally, the fourth group consisted of traditionally segregationist white Southerners, who rallied behind George C. Wallace and the American Independent Party.
Vietnam was one of many issues that splintered the party, and Johnson could see no way to win the war, and no way to unite the party long enough for him to win re-election.
Shockingly, at the end of a March 31 speech, he announced to the nation, “I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your President.”
The next day, his approval ratings increased from 36% to 49%.
Biden faces an eerily similar future.
The same factions make up the Democratic Party today, and they are even more opposed to one another. The mainliners like Pelosi and Schumer, are all well past their expiration dates. AOC and the rest of The Squad make up another. Bernie or Bust form another, and there are others smaller splinters.
As for Biden’s Vietnam, I give you Wuflu. Biden inherited a (fake) war that he shows no signs of winning.
And finally, how do you think Biden’s health will be in two more years as his dementia continues to age him in dog years?
